Leon glanced briefly and realized that fortune had been shining on him lately. Coming to this world and surviving, his system, finding a mine, and the riches within.

'Fortune is truly shining on me and family in this life.' Leon's eyes brightened as the joy he was feeling reached a new high.

Leon wasted no time collecting these items and placing them into his storage.

These items were mainly utilized for the evolution of Pokémon and were considerably more rare than the majority of the evolutionary stones.

The days passed, and they continued this routine of mining. Leona wanted to head home because she wanted to shower badly. However, both Leon and Lars persuaded her to hold on for a bit longer.

By this point, three days had passed.

Onix was the most helpful, it had excavated so much gold and rare gems. Leon stored most of the gold in his inventory. Surprisingly, they had not encountered any Pokémon in these three days.

This was probably because of Onix and the fact that it was his territory. No Pokémon dared to come here and challenge it. It did, however, get challenged by a group of Mawile every blue moon or so, but this was as stated—a blue moon; it was rare.

"Why do I feel like the gold has been going missing? I'm almost certain that there was more gold in this pile." Lars frowned when he stared at the pile, but he wasn't sure; it was just feeling.

"... ..."

Indeed, Leon had sneaked quite a bit into his storage but he didn't say anything. Compared to the amount in this mine, this sum was nothing.

"It's probably nothing, let's take some of the gold and store it. I'll leave Onix and the group of Geodude to guard the mine."

Leon didn't leave the mine right away. Before that; he decided to send the Pokémon Alliance an email. They would give him a call through his Pokédex once they saw the email's details.

Afterward, they exited the mine cautiously before walking back to town. They had left their tools at the mine and simply filled their bags with gold and gems.

Once they reached the town, the guards nodded their way upon seeing them. However, one of the guards showed shock before quickly leaving the scene.

"Finally back after so long, oh my gosh!" Leona stretched before jumping onto the mattress.

"I'll go shower first." Afterward, she rose and ran to the bathroom.

Lars and Leon assessed their collection of evolutionary stones, which included the primary types: Thunder, Leaf, Fire, and Water stones. Additionally, they discovered two Duskstones, which were less common than the four main types.

"These stones could be sold at a high price, but we won't be selling these on the island. I think we can auction these stones off or sell them to the Pokémon Alliance."

Leon knew evolutionary stones were in high demand at the moment. He had done a lot of research with his Pokédex back then.

"We won't sell them all, but we can keep a few for ourselves. Some Pokémon required these stones for evolution."

Leon had watched the Pokémon Alliance Market and discovered they lacked certain evolution stones. Even so, you couldn't buy these stones or any items with money, but exclusively through a point system.

"Alright. That works. I know you've been doing some research these days." Lars nodded in agreeance.

Just the amount they had brought home with them was enough to earn big. After counting what they had brought with them, they placed these valuables in their room.

"I better wash up afterward, mining has made me filthy with sweat and dirt." Leon sniffed his armed pits and cringed.

.....

"What? I thought you said they died somewhere in the mountains!" The Pringles mustache man questioned.

Why couldn't they get rid of a bunch of good-for-nothing kids? Were they worse than these poor bastard children?

"Correction? We thought they may have died in the wilderness somewhere. After all, they had been missing for the past two days."

"It doesn't matter, you just need to personally keep an eye on the entrances to the town. One of you can follow them, while the other can alert the rest. There shouldn't be any mistakes this time, I hope we can get rid of them before the ferry reaches this island."

This ferry would lead them off the island to the mainland. Of course, there was another ferry that led to another island.

Most people didn't go to this ferry because it would go to another island to pick up other trainers. This would only delay them from reaching the mainland sooner, so most didn't take this ship.

This island mostly consisted of forests, but its main attraction was a massive volcano. It was the island Leon had his eyes on for a fire type.

"Alright! Me and the guys will keep a lookout personally to ensure things go well." The fat man and skinny man spoke before dismissing themselves.

"You brats, you will regret attacking my son and offending me. No, you won't even know how and why you died, hehehe!"

....

At this time, Leon was browsing through his Pokédex for information.

"Glaskorium can be used to create weapons, but it is often used in power plants. Of course, people still use it to create weapons such as grenades, energy absorption shields, and aura absorption nets."

There were too many things this ore could be used for. Glaskorium absorbed energy of all sorts, while Arcesium trapped it.

"Arcesium's ability to trap aura and energies works well with the Masterball's mechanic." Leon fiddled with the piece of Arcesium in his hands.

"Leon. Lars has left the washing room, you can get in now." Leona's voice could be heard from the break room.

"Alright!" Leon stood and was about to ready himself. That's when his Pokédex showed an incoming call.

Leon smiled when he saw the number; he could easily recognize it from memory. It wasn't a video call, but a voice call instead.

Leon had written that he would like to take a voice call if they wanted to get in contact with him.

Indeed, this was the Pokémon Alliance!

Leon quickly went to the back of the Iron Factory before picking up the call.

"Hello, Leon speaking, whose calling?" Leon answered the call before saying.

"Mr. Brinstar? Is this Leon Brinstar of Driftveil Island?" It was the voice of a man, he sounded professional and middle-aged.

"That's right. Who's calling?" Leon feigned ignorance.

"My name is Larry, I'm an Administrator from the Pokémon Alliance. I won't waste your time Leon, but I saw your email and immediately hopped on it."

Leon liked this, the man got straight to the point.

"Ah, yes, I contacted you guys not too long ago about the mine I found. My siblings and I were the first to discover it. We want to establish ownership of this mine."

"This is fine but we'll have to send people out there to verify this matter. I hope you aren't lying sir; there could be major problems if you are."

"I'm not lying, you'll know soon enough." Leon shrugged, he wasn't worried about that.

"Okay, we'll also have to evaluate you and your history for legal reasons." Larry went on to explain that they would use a Psychic Pokémon to evaluate him and the mine.

This meant age, background, if his name was real, etc.

This was a huge matter as Leon claimed that this mine was a Mother Lode. When Larry saw this email, he jumped in excitement and reached out to Leon right away.

Such a mine usually carried rare ores and gems. This also meant evolution stones and other rarities within.

"Once we appraise the mine following an exploration, we can possibly establish a contract or you could sell it. Additionally, the mine will be registered in your name and your siblings' names. Naturally, this will happen once we verify the existence of a mine."

"Sounds good to me. When will you guys reach the island, because I'll be fifteen soon. Once I turn fifteen, I'll leave the island and start my Pokémon journey."

Leon didn't intend to stay on this island for a prolonged amount of time. He wanted to leave right on schedule if he could.

"Oh, it like that? We'll be there by tomorrow, so there's no need to worry youngster, haha!" This was an urgent matter, so Larry wouldn't delay anyway.

Larry also knew this youth was hot-blooded. His journey around the world was about to begin, so he could tell Leon was eager.

"Perfect! That works for me. The sooner, the better!" Leon and Larry talked about contracts before the call was disconnected.

"I wonder how much this mine will be worth if we sell it. Maybe millions, or perhaps...billions!"

His shoulders shivered at the thought; if they could get rich, there would be no more financial worries. Leon felt that his siblings deserved this after all these years of poverty and suppression.

"Leon. Some old man came to our door and gave me this letter. It said it was for the three of us and that it came from the Mayor."

Leon opened the letter and read through it and was shocked. The Mayor asked Leon and his siblings to visit him when he had the chance.

"The Mayor wants to give me and my siblings something important."

Leon wondered what it might be, but he couldn't understand it. Was it related to their experiences in the factory, considering the Mayor was the owner of this establishment?

Leon went back into the factory and told his siblings about it. None of them believed the Mayor had any ill intentions, so they would go and visit his manor tomorrow.
