Chapter 16
Finally getting rid of those people, including Jiang Xing, Chu Muxi walked into the classroom.
Before that, he still remembered to go to the department head and get a set of learning materials. The department head was moved to tears, and his nose was running. Chu Muxi said, “I have mysophobia, please keep your distance, Sir.”
“Student, from today on, you will officially become one of the students in our Performance Department! Woohoo, I’m so touched! It’s been many years since I’ve seen a student as proactive as you!” The department head pulled on his sleeves, crying and hiccupping simultaneously.
Chu Muxi smiled on the outside but pushed a tissue toward the other party with disgust in his heart. “Sir, please calm down.”
He cursed in his heart: You cried so miserably; when others saw it, they probably thought I was the only student, not one of the students.
However, it doesn’t seem to make much difference.
With the textbook in hand, Chu Muxi returned to the classroom and took a look.
Today was much like yesterday. The professor who was supposed to teach the class didn’t show up, but the little overweight guy who had been sleeping the day before appeared without hesitation.
Chu Muxi passed by the other person and sat down in a row nearby.
He finally obtained the textbooks from the Performance Department, he had heard they were all written by the department’s professors and had not been widely distributed.
Many students didn’t bother to pick up the textbooks upon arrival. In any case, there was no need to clock in and sign in every day.
The chubby man was lying on the table trying to catch up on his sleep. When he heard the noise, he raised his head, squinting with a red mark on his face.
The moment he saw Chu Muxi, his eyes widened, and his gaze fell on the textbook in his arms.
“Are you going to get the teaching materials?” The chubby man asked with an expression of disbelief, taking the initiative to speak to Chu Muxi.
Chu Muxi replied calmly, “Yes.”
The chubby man examined him, saying, “Don’t you remember me? I talked to you yesterday.”
Chu Muxi raised his eyebrows, “Well, I remember, but you didn’t tell me your name, right? So, we probably don’t know each other yet.”
In fact, one of the reasons Chu Muxi had decided to come to the acting department was because of the unassuming chubby man in front of him.
In his previous life, Imperial University didn’t make headlines until Chu Muxi passed away.
It turned out that the youngest prince in the royal family, His Majesty’s most beloved son, was also studying at Imperial University, majoring in acting.
There were many things to criticize about this, and no one understood why the young prince chose Imperial University over the Royal Academy or why he chose the seemingly incongruous acting department.
But he was there. What’s more, according to Jiang Xing, who had ridiculed him in the detention center, he had accidentally saved the young prince, who had promised to repay the favor in the future.
It was a familiar pattern, but this time, it was indeed his stroke of ‘good luck’.
But now, Chu Muxi decided to seize this stroke of good luck from the other party.
It was said that the chubby man made such comments to everyone, but others thought he had something wrong with his mind. They not only called him crazy but also mocked him.
If Chu Muxi hadn’t known his identity, he might have wanted to scold him, ‘Is there something wrong with you?’
“Do I not look handsome?” muttered the chubby man.
Chu Muxi smirked, “Do you want to hear the truth?”
“Forget it, not necessary,” the chubby man shook his head nonchalantly, “You are the only one whose beauty can rival mine, so I can still hold my own against others.” He said with confidence.
Chu Muxi raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised that the young prince had such a personality.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” The chubby man frowned, “Are you going to call me crazy too?”
Chu Muxi burst into laughter, “No, I just find you quite interesting.”
“Really?” This was the first time the chubby young man had heard someone comment on him this way. After all, at home, people either respected him or had ulterior motives, his parents spoiled him, and his brothers were jealous. Whether it was flattery or criticism, he felt like he never heard the truth.
That’s why he had discussed with his parents to give him a chance to be indulgent, just for two years.
“If you’ve had enough indulgence, you can always return.” That was what his father said.
“Why would I lie to someone I’ve just met?” Chu Muxi replied matter-of-factly, slowly opening the textbook and then closing it with a snap.
At first glance, he was drawn to the sentence on the title page: “Revitalize culture! Protect China!”
The eight bold characters were striking, mainly because there was also a high-definition photo of several elderly Mediterranean men at the back, which had a significant impact.
“What’s going on?” The chubby young man stretched his neck curiously, wanting to see.
Chu Muxi took a deep breath, “Nothing.” He looked up and gazed at the other person, “So, what’s your name?”
If there hadn’t been the previous conversation, the chubby young man might have been wary of him. But after their recent exchanges, the young man believed that, due to his home environment, he had a keen insight into people’s emotions and facial expressions.
However, what he didn’t know was that Chu Muxi had experienced life and death once. Unless he chose to reveal it, no one could guess his true thoughts.
The chubby young man readily shared his name, “My name is Phil.”
Although he had black hair, if Lu Junzhi were here, he would have noticed that the other person’s black hair had been dyed. His pupils were light gray, though not entirely gray. Upon closer inspection, a faint hint of red could be discerned.
The young prince, originally named Jefferson Rene de Laval, had inherited his mother’s red eyes and natural silver hair.
As for his figure, it was due to a combination of his weakness and medication-induced weight gain. However, with current medical methods, losing weight was relatively easy.
Many years later, Chu Muxi asked him why he had originally come to Imperial University with this appearance.
The individual who had become the crown prince stroked his chin and said earnestly, “Of course, it was to prevent others from feeling embarrassed.”
Chu Muxi responded with a perfect smile and playfully raised his interstellar friendly middle finger in jest.
“I bought into your vanity! Narcissism!”
