Reborn as Lucas : TBATE FanFic

Chapter 32: Chapter 32

Lucas threw the axe straight at the guard. The guard didn't even have time to register what was happening before the axe crashed down on his head, splitting his skull in half blood flowing like a fountain his brains stuck to the axe . His helmet offered no protection.

In an instant, Lucas appeared at the spot where the guard had been. His eyes were voids of complete blackness.

He touched the guard's body with his left hand, black fire dancing along his fingers. The fire didn't harm Lucas but devoured the guard. In a second, the fire consumed everything, leaving no trace, not even ashes.

Lucas moved like a blur, a demon in the night. His form was a shadow, only the glint of his black eyes giving away his presence. He advanced through the garden, each step deliberate, silent.

A pair of guards patrolling the garden saw him and drew their swords, but before they could even react, Lucas was upon them.

He grabbed the first guard by the throat, black fire searing through the man's flesh. The guard's scream was cut short as his body disintegrated into nothingness.

The second guard swung his sword in panic, but Lucas sidestepped easily, grabbing the sword mid-swing. With a swift motion, he impaled the guard with his own weapon, pinning him to a nearby tree. Blood spurted out, painting the tree trunk a deep red.

As Lucas entered the corridor, the slaughter truly began. Guards charged at him, but their movements were slow, almost comical, compared to his.

He disarmed one guard, breaking his arm with a sickening crunch before slashing his throat open with a blade he had conjured from his ring. The guard gurgled, eyes wide with terror, before collapsing in a pool of his own blood.

Lucas picked up a spear from a fallen guard and hurled it with such force that it skewered three men, impaling them against the wall. Their bodies twitched, lifeless eyes staring blankly as blood dripped to the floor.

He moved to another guard, slamming his head into the stone wall repeatedly until it cracked open like an overripe melon, brains and blood splattering in all directions.

A maid peeked out from a nearby door, her eyes wide with horror at the sight before her. She watched in terror as Lucas tore through the guards with an almost casual ease, his bloodlust so intense it rendered her mute with fear. She ducked back inside, praying he wouldn't notice her.

Another guard, desperate and trembling, lunged at Lucas with a dagger. Lucas caught the man's wrist, snapping it effortlessly, and then drove the dagger into the guard's eye socket.

The man screamed, a high-pitched wail that echoed through the corridor before Lucas silenced him with a twist of the blade.

He picked up a fallen mace and swung it with brutal force, crushing the skull of a guard who had tried to sneak up behind him. The body crumpled to the ground, twitching spasmodically as blood pooled around it.

Lucas continued his rampage, leaving a trail of blood and bodies. Every swing, every stab, every motion was executed with precision and lethal efficiency.

The corridor was painted in gore, the scent of blood and death hanging heavy in the air.

Finally, he reached the main office of the Count. He kicked open the door, stepping inside with an aura of death and destruction.

Count Xavier, a man in his twenties with circular glasses, stood in the corner of the office, shielding his family with one arm while gripping a sword with the other. "What do you want? Take everything, just leave my family alone," he pleaded, his voice trembling.

His son clung to his legs, eyes wide with fear. His wife and two daughters huddled close, their faces pale.

Lucas's voice echoed through the room, dark and demonic. "You."

The count's eyes widened in confusion. "What?"

"I'm here for you," Lucas repeated. With a swift motion, he hurled the axe. It struck Count Xavier's head with such force that it split his skull in two, blood gushing down, covering his son.

The count's body didn't fall forward; it crumpled to a kneeling position, his head grotesquely split, eyes staring blankly upward.

Lucas approached, his black eyes void of any emotion. He yanked the axe free, sending a spray of blood and brains flying.

The count's son stared up at him, frozen in terror. Without sparing another glance at the family, Lucas turned and left the room, as if completing a mundane chore, his mind already on the next task.

The count's son watched in stunned silence as the attacker left the room. The cries of his mother and older sisters filled the air, their bodies trembling in fear and sorrow.

Lucas emerged from the main entrance, shaking off the blood from his axe. His eyes returned to their normal color as he walked toward the waiting wagon.

The butler, fear evident in his eyes, kept his gaze averted as Lucas climbed in.

The wagon started moving with a rhythmic speed, the sound of the wheels on the cobblestone road steady and reassuring.

Inside, Lucas quickly changed out of his bloodied black shirt and into a clean beige one.

The butler, understanding the unspoken command, closed his eyes and looked away. Lucas then switched his pants to a dark green pair, the transition swift and practiced.

Finally, he removed the mask, placing it back into his ring, and settled into his seat, the aftermath of his brutal mission already fading from his mind.
