After they had finished eating, Qin Xue patted her stomach, satisfied. She had been so hungry earlier that she had lost her soul. If only the food wasn’t so difficult to take away, she would have liked to pack a portion to slowly enjoy later.

“Alright Xue’er, let’s go.” Chu Molin picked up his son and stood up.

“Alright, rest assured, you’ll get a discount.” The owner looked at the handsome man and the beautiful woman, thinking what a perfect pair they made.

After the owner weighed the pork, he did indeed give Qin Xue a small discount. Although it wasn’t a substantial amount, it was better than no discount at all.

Qin Xue bought a few other items for appearance’s sake. She had produce at home from another source, so she planned to use those to cook. But not buying anything at all would raise suspicion. So this was the downside of not being completely open about certain things – every action was done nervously, warily, never straightforwardly.

“I’m sorry.” Qin Xue apologized immediately after bumping into someone. She didn’t expect to hit someone while turning around.

“Ah! Watch where you’re going!” Gu Beilin covered her injured arm and complained. This really was a stroke of bad luck, coming out only to experience such a thing.

“Miss, I’ve already apologized. Why are you still insulting me?” Qin Xue was speechless. She didn’t knock into her that hard. Sure, it wasn’t great, but she shouldn’t have been insulted for it. Still, the verbal abuse came her way.

“Oh, it’s you!” The two of them said simultaneously.

Gu Beilin didn’t expect the person who bumped into her to be Qin Xue, and Qin Xue certainly hadn’t expected to run into this lunatic.

“What are you doing here?” Gu Beilin didn’t expect to bump into someone she didn’t want to see while simply shopping with her mother.
