Inside the Home of the Devil Fruits
[System Notification: The host has sold a total of 15 Devil Fruits. The system is ready for an upgrade. Would you like to proceed?]
Staring at the message on the system panel, Rosh could hardly contain his excitement. At the same time, he felt a surge of anticipation.
The upgrade notification had appeared the moment he completed the transaction with Black Widow. However, with her present, Rosh couldn't access the system openly. Only after she left did he eagerly dive into the system interface.
Black Widow's recent purchase had tipped the scale, allowing Rosh to meet the 15-fruit requirement for the upgrade.
"Upgrade!"
There was no reason to hesitate. Rosh immediately issued the command.
[Upgrading system…]
[Upgrade complete!]
[Latest system version loaded. Would you like to view the changes?]
"View!"
The updated system interface unfolded before him, revealing several changes.
The first thing that caught his attention was the extended shelf in the inventory. The display was noticeably longer, immediately signaling the addition of new Devil Fruits.
A quick glance confirmed it: several new fruits had been added, just as Rosh had speculated. Moreover, many of the newly stocked fruits were Paramecia and Zoan types.
Among the Paramecia fruits, notable additions included the Bara Bara no Mi (Chop-Chop Fruit), Bomu Bomu no Mi (Bomb-Bomb Fruit), and Ito Ito no Mi (String-String Fruit). Even the Door-Door Fruit, which Bruce Banner had shown interest in, had made its way onto the shelf.
However, truly top-tier Paramecia fruits like the Gura Gura no Mi (Tremor-Tremor Fruit), Zushi Zushi no Mi (Press-Press Fruit), or Soru Soru no Mi (Soul-Soul Fruit) were still absent.
For the Zoan fruits, the upgrade brought a few Ancient Zoan fruits. These were a step above standard Zoan types but still fell short of the Mythical Zoan class, which remained unavailable. Notably, there were no dragon-related Ancient Zoan fruits.
Even so, Ancient Zoan fruits were formidable, particularly in the Marvel Universe. Unlike Paramecia fruits, which often required skillful development to unlock their full potential, Zoan fruits, especially Ancient Zoan types, provided immediate and tangible enhancements. In certain scenarios, these fruits could even surpass Paramecia types.
What truly excited Rosh, however, was the addition of Logia Fruits to the inventory. Although they were on the lower end of the Logia spectrum, their presence was a game-changer.
The new Logia fruits included the Moku Moku no Mi (Smoke-Smoke Fruit), Numa Numa no Mi (Swamp-Swamp Fruit), and Yuki Yuki no Mi (Snow-Snow Fruit). While these fruits weren't as legendary as the Pika Pika no Mi (Glint-Glint Fruit), Magu Magu no Mi (Mag-Mag Fruit), or even the much-derided Mera Mera no Mi (Flame-Flame Fruit), even these relatively low-tier Logia fruits offered the unparalleled advantage of elemental intangibility, making them leagues ahead of most other fruits.
"Not bad. This upgrade is definitely worth it," Rosh muttered, clearly satisfied.
The addition of high-tier Paramecia fruits, Ancient Zoan fruits, and the first batch of Logia fruits meant he now had some truly premium products to offer.
As Rosh scrolled through the updated inventory, one particular fruit caught his attention, the Bullet-Bullet Fruit, which had previously been sold.
"So Deadpool was right after all. Wesley must've died," Rosh mused.
Deadpool had joked about this possibility before, and now it seemed he had been right. Wesley had been inactive in the group chat for a long time, and Rosh now understood why.
Still, Rosh didn't dwell on it. Wesley's fate was irrelevant to him. Instead, he focused on the system's other upgrades.

One noticeable change was in the [Payment System]. Going forward, transactions could no longer be conducted in USD or any other currency. Payments would now only be accepted in gold.
While this added a layer of exclusivity to purchases, Rosh wasn't worried. The Home of the Devil Fruits was a buyer's paradise, and this new requirement would only enhance its prestige without impacting sales. Anyone serious about obtaining these fruits would find a way to pay.
In retrospect, the change in payment made sense to Rosh. If gold had been used as the only payment method from the beginning, it may have been impractical and could have deterred buyers. However, now that the fruits have established a strong reputation, transitioning to a more refined payment system seems like a natural progression.
Another improvement was the system's [Anti-Theft Feature]. Rosh no longer needed to manually recall the fruits into the system every day, a task that had become tedious. The system now handles security autonomously.
Additionally, the system now offers a [One-Click Devil Fruit Catalog]. The system could now instantly generate detailed fruit descriptions and abilities, saving Rosh the hassle of creating them manually.

After exploring the upgrades, Rosh pondered the best way to sell the newly available high-value fruits, especially the Logia and Ancient Zoans.
"Auctioning them seems like the best approach," he mused.
The new Ancient Zoan and Logia fruits were too valuable to be sold casually. They warranted a more prestigious sales method, such as an auction, to enhance their impact and preserve their exclusivity.
However, Rosh knew the timing wasn't right. While Devil Fruits had gained some recognition, their fame needed to be more widespread to draw the kind of bidders he wanted.
''Patient is key, Rosh. Hold them off until people are desperate for these fruits; then, unveil them for the greatest effect, hehe,'' he murmured, a smile spreading as he pictured the impact it would have on the most desperate buyers.
He decided to hold off on auctions until demand reached a fever pitch. It had to be a moment when buyers would clamor for the chance to own one of these rare treasures. In the meantime, Rosh refocused on restocking the shelves with the newly added fruits, excluding the Ancient Zoan and Logia types.
*Swish!*
With a wave of his hand, the system replenished the store's inventory. In an instant, the display case was brimming with fresh fruits, each radiating its unique allure.
"Perfect. Now it's time to update the catalog," Rosh muttered as he used the system's new export feature. Within seconds, a complete Devil Fruit catalog was ready for distribution.
Smiling with satisfaction, Rosh began contemplating the next steps for his growing business.
