"Boss, there's something you need to know."
Inside the car, on the way to their destination, Wesley hesitated before reporting to Kingpin, "Shin has requested a private meeting with you, and he's insisting on it quite strongly."
"What does he want this time?" Kingpin asked, visibly annoyed.
"He wants to renegotiate the terms of your cooperation."
Wesley knew Kingpin would be angry, but he had to report the facts. And indeed, Kingpin's face immediately darkened, filling the car with a tense, oppressive atmosphere.
"Shin is becoming more of a nuisance by the day," Kingpin finally spoke after a brief pause. "But soon, I won't have to endure this trouble any longer!"
Kingpin was indeed wary of Shin. He knew Shin was a formidable opponent, much like Daredevil, and therefore hadn't made any rash moves against him. He even considered using Daredevil to eliminate Shin at one point, but that plan fell through when Daredevil was taken out.
Now, Shin had become Kingpin's biggest headache. However, soon it would be fine.
Not just Shin, but Madame Gao, Leland Owlsley, and the Bear Brothers would cease to be problems. Kingpin would no longer need to share control of Hell's Kitchen with anyone. This place would be his territory alone.
With that thought, a fierce determination began to light up in Kingpin's eyes.
*Bang!*
Suddenly, the lead car in the convoy lost control. It swerved erratically and crashed into the guardrail.
*Screech!*
Fortunately, the drivers of the other cars were experienced and managed to brake sharply and steer skillfully, avoiding a disastrous pile-up.
"What the hell happened?" Kingpin's expression turned grim.
Wesley wasted no time, swiftly exiting the car. The other bodyguards also jumped out, moving quickly to secure the area.
"What happened?" Wesley approached the driver of the lead car to inquire.
"Someone threw spikes on the road," the driver answered with a frown.
Wesley's face became grave. His instincts kicked in, and he began to survey the surroundings cautiously. The other bodyguards were similarly on high alert, hands ready on their guns.
On this desolate stretch of road, it was obvious that someone scattering spikes meant trouble.
"Who's there?"
Suddenly, a shadow flitted across the road ahead, drawing everyone's attention. The group turned in unison, guns aimed at the figure.
But as they saw who it was, they relaxed a bit. It was an elderly man, looking to be in his eighties, frail enough that even a breeze might knock him over. What's more, he was blind.
What threat could an old blind man pose?
However, his timing was rather suspicious.
"You, go check it out," Wesley instructed one of the bodyguards nearby.
The guard nodded and approached the old blind man, blocking his path. "Hey, old man, what are you doing here?"
The blind man said nothing. He simply opened his coat, which almost enveloped his entire thin body, and pulled out a sword.
The guard's expression changed slightly.
*Swish!*
Before he could react, the old man swiftly moved his hand, and a flash of cold steel sliced through the air. The guard's throat was cut open, blood gushing out.
"In your next life, remember to show some respect to the elderly," the old man coldly remarked as he flicked the blood off his sword.
Stick had made his entrance.
Wesley and the others were visibly shocked. No one had expected this seemingly harmless old man to strike with such ferocity.
They quickly raised their guns, intending to shoot the old man down.
*Whoosh!*
But at that moment, a woman with long hair, dressed in combat gear and wearing a mask, suddenly darted out from behind the group. Armed with two short blades, she plunged into their midst, slashing as she moved.
Elektra had joined the fight!
Most of Wesley's men had their attention fixed on Stick, and Elektra, being a skilled fighter, had managed to approach them without drawing any notice.
She caught them completely off guard.
*Slash, slash, slash!*
*Aah, aah, aah!*
The sound of flesh being cut by sharp blades filled the air, mingled with screams and groans of pain.
Even the Hand's trained ninjas were nothing compared to Elektra. What chance did these ordinary gunmen have?
Despite having guns, they were utterly helpless against someone of Elektra's caliber. Many didn't even have the opportunity to pull the trigger.
One by one, they fell to the ground.
To make matters worse, Stick was also moving in for the kill!
Wesley watched in horror. These two fighters were on par with Daredevil, if not stronger than Wade. There was no way his men could hold them off.
"Hold them off!" Wesley barked at his men before quickly making his way to Kingpin's car, intent on getting him out of there.
Only then did he realize that all the cars had been surrounded by spikes. When did that happen? It must have been the woman's doing!
Even Kingpin began to feel the pressure in this desperate situation. He exited the car and surveyed the dire scene.
"You, you, come with me. The rest, cover us!" Wesley pointed to a couple of men and quickly began escorting Kingpin away.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
*Bang!*
But Stick and Elektra were simply too powerful. The gunfire behind them grew weaker and weaker until it finally fell silent. In the space of a few hundred meters, every last one of Fisk's men had been killed.
Seeing Stick and Elektra close in rapidly, Kingpin and Wesley's faces turned pale.
They couldn't escape.
The only option left was to fight!
Kingpin quickly assessed the situation and made a decisive choice.
