The force of the swing was strong enough that it was able to cut through the flames like a vacuum.

It ripped the flames in half, sending the two halves of the flame breath off in different directions.

The giant asura didn't even stop for a single second as it continued charging forward at us, but this time...it seemed that one of its heads turned its attention to me and Joan. The other two heads were still focused on Alidus.

At the same time, I could see that two of the arms seemed to be moving over as if they were planning to attack me as well.

It seemed that all three of the heads had different thoughts and were able to control different limbs, so they should be able to fight multiple people at the same time.

But in this case, I really wasn't skilled in close range combat.

So Alidus stepped forward while I had Joan move back a bit.

At the same time, I said, "Use your relics to restrain it."

When they heard this, both Ariel and Moon immediately used their relics.

There was a layer of mist that appeared around us, but that layer of mist quickly went forward towards the giant asura.

At the same time, if one looked closely, they could see that there were things that seemed to be moving under the ground.

It didn't take long for these things to poke their head out.

It was a bunch of giant roots that had been digging around in the ground that suddenly appeared out of the ground. As for where they appeared, it was naturally around the giant asura that had been running forward.

The mist reached the giant asura first before the roots could.

The moment that the mist surrounded the giant asura, there was a sort of smoke that appeared around it.

It was as if something was being burned by the mist that was surrounding it.

This was the corruption energy that was being purified.

Though it had its corruption energy being purified by the mist, it didn't seem like the giant asura reacted to this at all. It continued to run forward through the mist as if it wasn't bothered by this at all.

Then it was the turn of the giant roots.

The giant roots had appeared in front of the giant asura, so it came up to grab at the giant

asura.

The giant asura used two hands to cut the roots that were coming at it, but it didn't seem like it was going to work. After all, the roots were things that were made of divine energy in the first place, so they were the antithesis of the weapons made of corruption energy.

Not to mention that these roots were created not just from a single root, but a bunch of roots wrapped up together. That was why they were this big in the first place, it was a combination of several roots together that formed this large root.

Otherwise, it was impossible for one root to be this big.

Especially in a place like this that was filled with corruption energy released by the demon army.

The corruption energy weapons of the giant asura were only able to cut a few roots that made up the large root, but it wasn't able to cut all the way through the large root.

Once the corruption energy weapon cut through a few of these roots, it was stuck in the large root itself.

At the same time, it seemed like the roots were able to purify the corruption energy weapon since they were roots that were created with divine power in the first place.

The giant asura tried pulling back the weapons that it used to cut the large roots, but it found that it wasn't able to pull them back. There were even cracks that started forming on the weapons when it tried to pull them back.

That was because those weapons had been weakened because of the purification of the large roots that they had become fragile enough to crack.

Just the strength that the giant asura used was enough to break them.

But it didn't seem like the giant asura cared that much about the weapons that it manifested.

Instead of trying to pull it back out of the large root, the giant asura just tossed it aside.

That was because instead of insisting on using these weapons that were damaged, the giant asura created new weapons.

With a single thought, there were these new weapons that were just like the ones that it had before that were formed from dark corruption energy that came from its body.

The large roots continued to grab at the giant asura, but they were never able to catch it in the end since the giant asura kept using those dark corruption energy weapons as disposable weapons to stop them. The different weapons would cut through layers of the large roots that made them too weak to hold the giant asura before being abandoned.

But even then, Moon didn't give up on creating more and more roots to attack the giant asura. She wanted to do all that she could to catch this giant asura.

Still, the giant asura was getting closer to us.

I didn't stop Moon from creating these giant roots since they helped with weakening the giant asura, or at least that was what I assumed since the giant asura had to keep using its corruption energy to create these weapons.

I didn't know if it was actually being weakened by this since it didn't seem like it was getting slower or weaker.

Still, there was nothing to lose from this.

While Moon was still using the large roots to try and catch the giant asura, I gave a nod to Alidus.

He understood the signal I gave him and charged out at the giant asura.

Only he didn't go right for the giant asura.

He seemed like he was planning on running around the giant asura.
