SON OF DUNE

Chapter 6: They will run

In Caladan, the young Master Paul lay sleeping on his bed. He had started to have dreams of things happening, and the next moment, he would see that same dream play out in the real world or say words that someone was about to say.

He had told his mother about this, and at times, he would Dream of a man with a mask walking the deserts of Arrakis, a figure shrouded in enigma and intrigue.

The man, his face concealed by a mask adorned with piercing red eyes, always seemed just out of reach. Paul would sprint towards him, his heart pounding, but the distance between them remained unchanged. Amid this enigma, a girl's voice would whisper in his ear, a voice both distant and near. ' What does it all mean?' Paul pondered, his mind awash with questions.

When he would wake up, the same name would ring in his ear: 'Krelln,' one of the moons of Arrakis. The funny thing is that his father had wanted him to watch film books about Arrakis and its history, including the Language of the Fremen. Of course, much of the information was outdated because the Harkonnen loved their privacy.

They owned significant shares in the CHOAM company. They were only second to the Emperor, and the emperor was a jealous man, a fact that hung in the air, thick with tension.

Duke Leto Atreides was known as the Just, but being a Just man does not give you the favor of the other Great Houses; he was amassing power more so than others; The House Atreides were known as the Master Assasins. They were known to adapt to challenging situations.

Duke Leto never wanted to be an assassin or a Duke; he wanted to be a pilot, but circumstances changed that. His father was killed by a bull here in Caladan and so, therefore, inherited the position, but he wanted to be different from the last, Atreides. he wanted to be just, and he was Earning the favor of the small houses under him. They all gladly sent their sons into his fold as guards and lieutenants.

Life was good in Caladan; the Duke was happy, as were his son and his family. But the signs were there: the emperor was making a move that would hurt one of the great houses, and this made everyone tense and very protective.

The Duke speculated that the Emperor was coming after him, a looming threat that filled the air with a sense of impending danger, but there was nothing he could do to prepare.

On the planet Arrakis, there were numerous spice smugglers who believed themselves to be safe in Fremen's territory. However, they were being closely followed by guards of House Harkonnen.

These guards served their purpose not only to help with smuggling so they could buy more shares of CHOAM company but also to have a surplus of spice. These smugglers were paid by house Harkonnes or, should we say, the Barron. Barron Vladimir was known to love Little boys and use them for sexual pleasure.

You could only imagine the cruelty he inflicted upon those poor souls, but in the eyes of Krelln, a fire burned bright inside his heart.

As the smugglers used the crawlers to collect spice in the sand, you could hear a revving sound in the far distance.

A year had passed since Krelln built the solar panels buried deep in the ground.

The Guard of House Harkonnes, wearing all black, looked towards the sound, and he saw a massive cloud of sand coming towards him. But this was not the sound of a storm cloud; its revving sound made him feel a foreboding emotion.

It was then that, in the storm clouds, he saw the figure of a man with a red mask; he was wearing a red suit with a cloak on his shoulder, making him look more pronounced than he was.

The guard looked past the man, and behind him, shadows of something approaching fast could be seen, and they were the ones making that revving sound. These people had the same mask as him the difference was in their eyes, blue.

The guard became confused about why these Fremen were being loud and why they weren't attracting the Sandworms.

What he didn't know was that only humans could hear the sound of the hoverbikes; the frequency of the sound made them invisible to all animals.

Even the souls of the Red Fremen's feet had a device that gave them their own personal dead zone. Their feet were quiet even in the sand.

The Guard Yelled, " Fremen Attack." This got the attention of the other guards around him, but as soon as he yelled those words.

Behind him, a figure came from the sand and pierced his neck with his blade; he wore the same mask as the ones on the Hoverbikes.

The Other guards saw this, and they ran towards him, but the Fremen Jamis ran towards them, and in quick succession, he jumped at one, piercing his armor and arm. The man yelled In agony, but Jamis slashed his leg and the Achilles, making the man fall, slashing at his neck.

The other guards tried to come over to help, but their legs were slashed by hands that stuck out of the sand. Pulling them down and then climbing their bodies. As they struggled, they pierced their armor, giving their lifeblood to the Shai-Hulud.

The Red Fremen were the most dangerous of the Bunch. They climbed the crawlers, opening them at once. They brought out the smugglers.

One of them had the gal to say, "Do you not know who we are? Who we work for? Your people will suffer for this, Fremen." the man spoke with venom in his voice as if his voice could kill.

But it did not take long before they stood before a figure who did not speak a word, but his presence was enough to make them Gulp in fear. His mask's eyes were blood red. The truth was that Krelln was studying their technology through his mask. it was making calculations and a 3D model of the shield technology. He called it his first love.

The problem with the Harkonnes was that they used shields on their crawlers, sending the sandworms into a killing frenzy. Some were big enough to eat a whole Crawler and were not adults yet.

" Who you work for does not concern me," Krelln said, his voice like that of Kylo Ren. "You have come into my lands and stolen my children; you have stolen my spice. When you enter a man's house, you do not place your feet on the table. I will tell you this: the moment you entered here is when you signed your death certificate."

Krelln sliced the throat of the scum before him; one by one, they begged for his mercy, but he had lost that a long time ago; he promised himself that he would control his Destiney and that he would.

When it was all done, he placed his palm on the crawler and placed it in his inventory. He had a plan that involved his father living. In his mind, he thought, 'Desert power.'
