Chapter 30: (30) Angry Lioness
The little wizards on the ground cried out in surprise when they saw this scene.
"Oh my god! Are they okay?"
"It was so thrilling! I almost... "
"Stop talking, let's go and see if they are injured!"
After saying that, the little wizards ran towards the castle. Inside the castle, Ian, Harry and Draco were lying on the ground, gasping for breath, their faces filled with gratitude for having survived the disaster.
"Great, we're all fine..."
Harry said, breathing heavily. Draco also nodded: "Yeah, it was really thrilling just now..."
"Fortunately, we are fine." Ian smiled and took out the memory ball from his arms, "It was quite exciting."
"Exciting!? Which of you three can tell me what is going on?"
At this moment, a stern voice suddenly sounded in the ears of the three people.
"..."
The three of them were stunned for a moment when they heard this, then they all turned their heads and saw Professor McGonagall standing beside them with a serious look on her face, her hands on her hips, glaring at them.
Only then did they notice that they were in the Transfiguration classroom, and even students from other houses were still attending classes.
They were in such a hurry just now that they didn't pay any attention to this. Harry and the other two quickly got up from the ground and stood in front of Professor McGonagall with their heads down, like three quails.
"I'm sorry, Professor McGonagall..." Harry stammered, "We didn't mean to..."
"That's right, Professor, we came in because the broom suddenly went crazy, Draco explained.
"A.. ahah.. haha? Ehm.." Ian laughed twice and looked at Professor McGonagall timidly: "Professor, let me explain. In fact, this was an accident.."
The anger from the older cat girl, can the favorability he gained come in handy at this time?
"Accident? You almost lost your life!"
Professor McGonagall said angrily, "What on earth were you doing?"
The three of them looked at each other and said in unison: "We were being chased by a flying broom!"
Professor McGonagall frowned and her expression became serious: "What? What's going on in Hogwarts these days? Sigh.."
"Everyone, go to study first." Professor McGonagall said to the second-year students who were in class, and then glanced at the three quails, "You three follow me."
"So? What on earth happened?" Professor McGonagall, Ian and the other two stood outside the classroom.
Harry took a deep breath and told Professor McGonagall what had happened since they were in the air.
After hearing what Harry said, Professor McGonagall's face suddenly became serious.
"You think the broom suddenly went mad?" Professor McGonagall asked in a deep voice.
"It's true, Professor," Ian said. "The broom seemd to be under a spell and keept chasing us. I think someone wants to ..kill us."
Professor McGonagall frowned, her face full of seriousness: "This matter is very serious. I must report it to Headmaster Dumbledore immediately."
"Before that, the three of you come with me to the hospital wing and let Madam Pomfrey examine you."
Upon hearing this, Harry and the other two nodded obediently, then followed Professor McGonagall towards the hospital wing.
On the way, Professor McGonagall said as she walked, "But you three are very naughty. You dared to fly around when Madam Hooch wasn't there. Do you know how dangerous this is?"
"I'm sorry, Professor. We know we were wrong." Harry and the other two apologized in unison.
Professor McGonagall sighed, "Luckily you're all okay. "
Soon, the four arrived at the hospital wing.
Madam Pomfrey was stunned when she saw Harry and the other two.
"Why are you here like this? What happened Minerva?"
"They had an accident, Poppy, please check them out first," said Professor McGonagall.
Madam Pomfrey became nervous when she heard that. She quickly asked Harry and the other two to lie down on the beds and began to examine them carefully.
After a quick check, Madam Pomfrey breathed a sigh of relief, "They are all fine, just a few scrapes and bruises, I can just give them some medicine."
Professor McGonagall heaved a sigh of relief when she heard this.
"I'm glad to hear that."
After Madam Pomfrey gave Harry and the other two medicines, Professor McGonagall took them out of the hospital wing and went to the headmaster's office to see Headmaster Dumbledore.
"Hey.. Ian, we won't be expelled, will we?"
Harry felt scared at this moment.
Ian twitched his lips: "Are you scared?"
"What are you guys talking about?" Draco waved his hand and said, "What's there to be afraid of, huh? My father is one of the school directors. He has donated a lot of money to Hogwarts. Dumbledore will definitely not dare to expel us."
Ian and Harry looked at each other and saw speechlessness in each other's eyes. 'This cheeky pompous brat.'
"Lemon Sherbet."
The gargoyle moved and soon, led by Professor McGonagall, the three arrived at the door of the headmaster's office. Knock, knock, knock.
Professor McGonagall knocked on the door.
"Come in," Dumbledore's voice called from the headmaster's office.
Professor McGonagall opened the door and walked in, with Harry, Ian, and Draco quickly following behind her. At this moment, Headmaster Dumbledore stood by the window, his back to the door, hands clasped behind him, gazing out at the scenery.
Hearing the door open, Dumbledore turned around and looked at Professor McGonagall, Harry, and the others with a gentle smile. "Minerva, what brings you here?"
"Dumbledore, something terrible has happened," Professor McGonagall said solemnly.
Hearing this, the smile on Dumbledore's face gradually faded, replaced by a serious expression. "What happened?"
"It's like this..." Professor McGonagall began, recounting what had occurred during the flying lesson with Harry, Ian, and Draco, along with their speculations. "... I believe this is a very serious matter. It's highly likely that someone is attempting to harm them."
After listening to Professor McGonagall, Dumbledore's expression turned completely grim, a dangerous glint flashing in his eyes.
"Professor Dumbledore, could it be Voldemort?" Ian asked tentatively.
At the mention of "Voldemort," Dumbledore's eyes flickered slightly, but he slowly shook his head. "It's not clear yet, but I will find out."
After saying that, he turned to look at Harry and the other two and said softly, "You three go back for now. I will handle this matter."
Hearing this, Harry, Ian, and Draco nodded obediently and left the headmaster's office.
...
"Ian, did you just say that Voldemort wants to kill us?" Harry asked, clenching his fists.
"It's just a guess," Ian replied, glancing at Draco, who looked pale. "Let's not even mention Draco for now. Just the two of us, the saviors, are enough to make Voldemort hate us."
"After Voldemort fell, Lucius, the head of the Malfoy family, swore he was under the Imperius Curse and forced to become a Death Eater. Do you think anyone actually believed that?" Ian sneered. "Well, Voldemort certainly wouldn't."
"It's no surprise that Voldemort would want to kill Draco, the sole heir of a pure-blood family he considers traitorous, right?"
Ian clenched his wand and said, "What's more, Draco, you're so close to us—the twins who lived. Isn't that enough to make Voldemort furious?"
Draco's face turned even paler. "Ian, if I stay away from you two now, uh.. is it too late?"
"Don't worry, big bro Ian will take care of you," Ian said, patting Draco on the shoulder. "You've already boarded the pirate ship of us saviors. There's no getting off now."
Draco: "..."
"Alright, don't stress. If an enemy comes, we'll fight them; if water comes, we'll block it," Ian said calmly.
"What kind of logic is that?"
"Ask Sun Tzu, not me."
"Anyways, we're only in the first year. There's no point in overthinking things now. Let's focus on improving our strength. At the very least, if Voldemort wants to kill us, he'll have to pay a hefty price."
"Ian's right," Draco agreed. "We're still too weak right now. We must work hard to improve our abilities."
Knowing that Voldemort truly wanted him dead, Draco, for the first time, fully understood the importance of studying.
Only by learning diligently could he master powerful magic to protect himself and his family.
Ian glanced at the two of them without saying much. He was confident that Dumbledore would never let anything happen to him or Harry.
