The Beast Tamer Is A Slime

Chapter 39: “Noticed By A New Young Master”

"Wow, it is the real Slime Reo! So, the young man carrying Reo is the famous young master from the Okko Family, right?"

"Yes, yes! A direct descendant on top of that."

"The Okko Family really has good genes…their family members, even the branch families have a lot of talented hunters, right?"

"I heard that the most mediocre person in their family at least has a C-rank talent potential!"

"If this family didn't start in our district, they must have been able to move to other districts."

"Rumors said that their family members lived well in higher-level districts, and the whole family is planning to move out to District 8 or 7."

"Oh wow! By the way, what's this young master's talent potential?"

"A-rank! Isn't that amazing? He's only sixteen years old too! So young!"

"Humph, what's so great about that...currently, he is still just an F-rank hunter if he stays in this city, right?"

"If the Okko Family is so great, why is their influence still limited to Slime City? They just have better connections to higher-level districts, that's all."

"Shuushh! Don't say that in front of him! That's his absolute taboo!"

"I heard that those who offended him had all been exiled to World District 10 or had to run away to other cities…."

Neo perked his ears and after he listened to the whole conversation, he couldn't help but click his tongue.

There you go, a classic troupe in many novels and manhwa.

The young master of the so and so family, blablabla...

Ah wait. Did they just mention Reo, that slime who embarrassed the entire slime race?

Neo immediately popped out of Charlie's pocket and tried to see the Legendary "Pet Beast of The Month",

But he only saw the colorful heads of crowds.

Black, blonde, brown, red...even pink, green, blue, purple...

Neo could find all kinds of hair colors, but not the slime he was looking for.

[Smol hooman, get closer to that young master! I want to see his slime!]

Neo urged Charlie to walk forward, but even when Charlie tried to bypass the crowd, he was easily pushed around.

Charlie was shoved here and there and by the time he could take a breath, he was back at the big vendor who used a living slime as a display.

....

Both Charlie and Neo, who was ravaged by the surging crowds, looked at each other with sad eyes and pitied each other in their hearts.

Neo's hope to see the slime Reo was dashed, but maybe because he was a transmigrator and had some kind of unique physique...

That young master with ten bodyguards around him actually slowly bypassed the crowd and came to a beautiful store right across the big vendor with a living slime.

After the young master crossed half the whole street from another safe zone entrance, the crowds had already dispersed and didn't crowd around him so much, allowing Neo to get a glimpse of the young master.

This young master looked like a mixed-race. His hair was blonde, but his face was typical of an East Asian.

The young man held his head high and excluded the aura of a spoiled, arrogant brat, just like many other rich young men in novels and manhwas.

Ah. What a deja vu.

Neo suddenly felt that maybe, there would be some intrigue soon? Just like the incident with that annoying Tom Embeth before.

Of course, Neo didn't think that he would be involved.

After repeated failure, Neo lost interest in looking for the slime Reo and was about to ask Charlie to go to the right side of the cement road when his crow beak worked.

Neo didn't invite trouble, but trouble came uninvited.

That blonde asian young man, who was about to enter the luxurious shop, actually noticed Charlie and the tiny golden slime peeking out of the boy's chest pocket even from such a distance.

The young master squinted and took a few steps back, not entering the shops anymore.

He whispered to one of the bodyguards closest to him and soon, the eleven people strode towards Charlie with a full momentum!

Even the crowds that had already dispersed suddenly gathered again, all with curious faces.

"What's going on? Why did the Okko family's young master go to the street stalls instead of the luxurious stores?"

"I don't know. Maybe he's interested in the living slime displayed at that vendor, you see..."

"Oh, that big stall. But the slime there is just an ordinary slime..."

Why would the young master notice it when he already had Reo, the pet beast of the month?

Is Reo not cute enough?

But the young master dressed up his slime from head to toe, so how could he not spoil and love his pet?

Amidst the crowds' confusion, the young master held the hybrid slime the size of a basketball in his arm and hurriedly walked towards Charlie's place.

Charlie, a person who awakened [The Survivor] talent, had a keen sense of danger and had already turned around while covering Neo with his palm.

Run, run, run! There's bound to be problems with that guy!

Charlie quickly strode towards the right side of the cement road, trying to shake off the young master behind, but...

The ten bodyguards around the young masters didn't look like ordinary F-rank hunters.

They walked so fast, even in the cramped crowd.

Charlie only felt a gust of wind and ten men in black suddenly blocked his path, like a solid wall.

Okay...this is another deja vu.

Didn't his teammates get stopped by the inspectors exactly like this?

History repeated itself!

Charlie was speechless. Neo was even more speechless.

They both had the same thoughts—

Why do rich young masters like to block people so blatantly?

Neo, who swore that he wouldn't be involved in any more mess incidents, slapped his own face so quickly that he doubted the world.

Is this world really not a world of novels or manhwa?
