Chapter 9: Chapter 9 – Enlightenment
Demir, who was reaching out in his bed after a long night, opened his eyes when he felt the warmth of the sun on his face. When he looked out and saw that the sky was brightening, he jumped out of bed and said, "Oh no, I'm late." When he quickly made his preparations and left home, it was his mother who welcomed him.
- You sleepyhead... Where are you going without hugging your mother, come here, let me see.
- Mom, let me go. Today we will go fishing with my father. I have to catch up with him.
- Your father left early. He couldn't bear to wake you up because you were sleeping so sweetly.
Demir, who was angry that his father left him behind, ran away from his mother and came to the riverside, not far away. While he was thinking about how to get to the lake, a small black board pulled by two dolphins stopped in front of him. Demir did not find the small board in front of him strange at all. And when he got on the board, the dolphins also became active. As the dolphins progressed, the environment began to change.
Huge oak trees were replaced by smaller trees. Beautiful flowers began to bloom on both sides of the river. The sky was very bright and blue. The birds were flying away, singing happily. While Demir was watching the flowers around him and waving to the birds with enthusiasm, he suddenly found himself in a clear and deep blue. He came to the lake, but the birds, flowers and dolphins were gone. There is nothing left around, only Demir and water.
The blue of the sky was visible through the water. Demir looked to his right and then to his left. There was nothing around but water. He finally realized, "If I'm in water, water fills my mouth and I can't breathe." He held his breath in panic and tried to get out of the water, but his efforts were futile. It was as if he couldn't move at all. After a little more effort, he couldn't stay out of breath anymore and had to take a deep breath. But something interesting happened.
The water filling Demir's mouth did not prevent him from breathing. He tried to breathe a few more times. "Yes, there is no problem, I can breathe," he said and started swimming happily. After swimming in the deep water for a while, he stopped.
He felt the water, its coolness touching his skin, its softness, its flexibility... Demir loved being in this calmness and silence. This lake was full of love and tolerance. He embraced her with all his compassion and kindness. He closed his eyes and surrendered himself to this deep blue. After a while, Demir felt the compassion of the water and understood the gentleness of its touch...
When he opened his eyes, he was still deep in the water. He stretched… took a deep breath. Then he wondered where the water filling his mouth went. He took another deep breath and entered with the water filling his mouth. He was surprised when he saw that the water that was supposed to go into his lungs filled his stomach. While he was watching the acid in his stomach and water mix, before he could say "this place is full of acid, I'm going to die", it was dissolved by his stomach. But strangely he did not die.
Monitoring his condition, Demir thought about why he did not die and said, "I wonder if did i became energy too like food." He looked at himself and didn't feel anything strange, but the water there was not the same as when it entered his mouth. They looked like grains of light. He went after one of them. When he caught up with him, he realized that he was like a raindrop reflecting the sun. The inside of the drop was very bright. This raindrop progressed, progressed and finally came to a huge void.
Demir looked around. It wasn't very dark in here, and it didn't seem to have an end. While he was thinking, "Is there such a void inside me?", he looked towards where the drop went and headed there. When he said to the drop, "What will you do in this space alone?", he realized that there were other drops around him. When all the drops came together, they became the size of a large marble.
When Demir reached out with his hand and wanted to take the water marble in front of him, he found himself floating in the water again. He wondered if he had taken the marble and immediately opened his hand, but there was nothing in his hand. Thinking, "I wonder if it's still inside me?", he entered his body again, but could not reach the space where the water marble was.
"I must have lost the way. I have to find another drop of water to guide me," he said, and then repeated what he had just done. Then he tried again and again, but could not create another bright drop of water.
Demir, whose efforts were inconclusive, returned to the depths of the water. It was good for him to be in this clear water. He swam a little further and then looked up at the sky through the water. Beautiful blue, beautiful sky, beautiful white clouds.
While looking at the sky, Demir could feel himself slowly rising to the surface of the water. Before, he had tried hard but couldn't get out. But now it was rising on its own. A little more... A little more... Then he was sure to come out of the water, but suddenly everything went dark...
…
Demir, startled by fear, immediately opened his eyes and sat up in bed. He wiped the sweat from his face on his quilt. When he looked out and saw that the sky was brightening. He quickly got out of bed, saying "Oh no, I'm late", but his sudden movements caused him to feel dizzy. As he stumbled and fell, nurse Oya caught him and put him back on the bed.
- You haven't regained your strength yet, you should rest a little more.
Nurse Oya continued her routine work amidst Demir's astonished looks. He tidied up the surroundings, checked the medications, organized his notes... Demir realized that he was no longer in the bedroom. This place looked more like his room at the health center. While I was thinking why I am here, Dean Noyan entered the room.
- Hello little man. You gave us quite a scare.
- I'm sorry, sir. I don't know what happened. I was lying in my room and then when I opened my eyes I was here.
- Details are not very important, you can learn later. Now I want to ask you something... Do you feel a change in yourself?
Demir touched his body with his hands. He checked himself with his eyes. He was fine, he just felt a little tired.
- I don't seem to have anything. I just feel a little tired that's all.
When Dean Noyan said "think again", Demir felt uneasy. When he looked at Dean Noyan, a feeling of fear filled him. He was like a rabbit in front of a tiger. He couldn't understand when this man became so scary. As he started to sweat slightly, Dean Noyan asked,
- How are you feeling?
How heavy and how loud is this sound... Demir, who had goosebumps, wished to shrink down and disappear. Finally he managed to make a weak sound,
- I… I… I'm scared… You're so scary…
When Dean Noyan looked at Demir happily, the fear inside Demir suddenly diminished. Although he was still a little uneasy, this was nothing compared to what happened before.
- Rest well for now. Come and find me when you feel better, okay?
Demir, only shook his head because words could not come out of his mouth. When Dean Noyan left the room, he turned to the nurse,
- Sister, is the Supreme Master always this scary?
- He's generally a gentle person, but when he gets angry, he becomes very scary. I am scared too.
They looked at each other and remained silent. When silence filled the room, Demir looked out the window and was immersed in the sunlit view.
…
Ten minutes later in the meeting room, Dean Noyan addressed his subordinates,
- I decided to take the child as a core student. Adjust yourself and your departments accordingly.
It has never been seen that someone who is now a probationary student is directly promoted to core student. It would be acceptable for the child to pass the external student and become an internal student of the academy, but the fact that the child was a core student meant that he would have a say in this academy in the future.
Thinking about what would happen, head instructor Turan trembled with fear. The pain of his cooked skin was still fresh. Because of his mistake, this student was likely to take revenge on him. Moreover, with the Supreme Master as his supporter, he would have no salvation. Turan, with regret in his eyes and expressed his objection in the hope of being saved.
- But Supreme Master, what you said seems like a hasty decision. Wouldn't it be better if he started as an inner disciple first? Depending on his development and character, he can become a core student in the future, right?
- Yes you are right. It sounds like you need an explanation. Baran, get up and explain to them,
Baran stood up calmly, looked at Dean Noyan before starting to speak, then turned to the others and started his speech,
- You, don't know, but my intelligence and security department prepares reports on the general situation and technological progress of the world every five years.
According to the latest reports, scientists researching "human perceptions and body reactions" are about to make a new breakthrough. If they give enough importance to this breakthrough, it will take about thirty years to complete their understanding of "human perceptions and body reactions." At the end of thirty years, they will inevitably return to Nature. And with the support of many natural scientists, they will usher in a new era.
If humanity continues the breakthrough process in this new age, we estimate that they will reach the technology that will find us within one hundred and thirty earth years at the earliest and one hundred and sixty at the latest.
- (Ms. Esin) What does this have to do with the child?
Looking sideways at Ms. Esin, who interrupted his speech, Baran continued.
- For now, there is no problem in the work of our academy, but there will be problems after humanity develops. They will definitely be aware of us. You can guess what will happen next, right? (Pausing for a while, Baran turned to Ms. Esin)
The answer to your question, our academy's 51st year of education will probably be our last year of education. And this student will probably be our last student.
When everyone fell silent, Dean Noyan shared his thoughts,
- Actually, the reason why I chose the child is not because we have limited time... The real reason why I chose the child is that he has overcome the barrier of enlightenment on his own. Even though the textbook guided the child, it is a big deal that he managed to do this without the help of a teacher.
After observing that everyone was listening carefully, he continued.
- I was with the child just now. When i put a little pressure on it, a slight blue ring appeared at the edge of his pupils. It was a slightly pale blue, but it was there...
Ms. Esin stood up with excitement and said, "Really? When she said, This is great news," the envious looks of the others fell on Ms. Esin.
- I am sure that the child's enlightenment is connected with water.
- Thank you, Supreme Master. (The smile of a victory over others appeared on Ms. Esin's face) Let me point out that, our health unit will provide all kinds of support and help to this child.
- (Baran) All our units will do their best to help a student personally chosen by the Supreme Master.
- Of course we will do, we should take good care of this genius child...
- … ...
The group meeting, full of petty squabbles, continued for a while...
