The Happiness of Deidara in Naruto

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: I Am Deidara

Chapter 2: I Am Deidara

The little girl, not swayed by Di Da's strange behavior, continued, "Deidara brother, my name isn't that great either, right? Kurotsuchi—sounds kind of weird. But I never complained because my grandfather gave it to me."

"And besides, the name Deidara sounds much better than Kurotsuchi!" The little girl paused to catch her breath, eager to continue.

But seeing her continue, Di Da quickly interjected, "Okay, okay, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have changed my name. I am Deidara." If he didn't stop her quickly, who knows how much longer she would ramble on.

Kurotsuchi noticed that Di Da had accepted her words and smiled with satisfaction. "Then Deidara brother, you should hurry up and wash up. I'll wait for you outside. Also, we can only play in the morning, because my grandfather wants to see you in the afternoon."

Di Da nodded to signal he understood. The little girl hopped out, but at the last moment, she playfully turned around, smiling and reassuring him, "You don't have to worry about Uncle. After all, he's a Jonin! Even though he hasn't come back in days, I'm sure it's just because of some important matters."

"And here's a secret!" she came back again. "Uncle competed with my dad, and Uncle won. So you can let go of your worries now!"

Though Di Da wasn't very familiar with this little girl yet, he could clearly feel her concern. So, he sincerely smiled at her, indicating that he understood what she meant.

Seeing his smile, Kurotsuchi blushed suddenly and didn't say anything further; she obediently went outside.

From the little girl's series of remarks, Di Da finally pieced together his current situation.

First, he had crossed over into the world of Naruto as the character Deidara. Second, he was now in the form of a five or six-year-old child. Lastly, his—or rather, Deidara's—father was on a mission, so he didn't need to worry about being discovered.

Although he hadn't read through the entire Naruto manga, the information he had looked up indicated that Kurotsuchi was Deidara's junior disciple and the granddaughter of the Third Tsuchikage, while he was also a disciple of the Third Tsuchikage.

Therefore, when the Third Tsuchikage wanted to see him in the afternoon, it was likely to discuss him being taken in as a disciple. Since he was already here, there was no value in fretting over why he had arrived in this world. Even if he understood it, there was nothing useful he could do with that information.

The explosion of the Sanxing phone probably caused a fire, and he had lost consciousness, thus likely perishing in the flames. Even if he hadn't died, he might have sustained severe burns, which could be worse than dying.

So, even if he could go back, he would only return as a cripple, potentially harming his family. There was no other purpose in it.

Just thinking about his parents and his master made him feel regret! They had worked hard to raise him, sacrificing so much, and he hadn't even had the chance to care for them before leaving.

And his master, who only wished to pass down this art to him, treated him as more important than his own son.

As for his parents, he didn't have much to offer, but fortunately, he still had an older brother. They could still enjoy their old age together. But as for his master, he felt could offer nothing in return.

Deidara had originally been a master of the arts, and since he was also an artist himself, he could ensure that the art of clay sculpture thrived in this world; that would be his way of repaying his master!

After all, that was all he could do.

Therefore, since he needed to survive in this world, he would be Deidara!

With his thoughts racing and resolving everything, he sat up and bowed three times to the ground.

Suddenly, a wave of memories crashed over him, nearly knocking him out. These were the memories of "Deidara"!

A small figure was born, nestled in a warm embrace, accompanied by large hands, growing up healthily.

One day, that embrace grew cold, and he cried out for the first time. But there were those large hands still supporting him, ensuring his growth.

Then, those hands also left him. Though he didn't know if they would return, a sense of foreboding lingered in his heart.

Until today, the warmth in his heart had faded. There was a special bond between him and those hands, and he knew they would not come back.

Then, he broke down. Following that, Deidara arrived.

Knowing that his father had died meant that the Third Tsuchikage's summons could mean one more thing—that he was being informed of his father's battlefield death.

"Your happiness has gone, so you have lost hope," Deidara said. "I have taken over your body, taken on everything that belongs to you. I will carry your hope and seek our happiness together."

As the memory surge subsided, Deidara stood up. Filled with hope in his small body, a resolute expression lit up his face, paired with his golden hair, radiating vibrant energy.

Kurotsuchi was quietly watching from the window. She had already known about Deidara's father's death. The Third Tsuchikage wasn't actually calling to see Deidara in the afternoon; it was supposed to be in the morning. But to give Deidara some time to process the news, she had specifically requested to take Deidara out to play and comfort him.

But now, it seemed unnecessary. Deidara brother had already learned of the news and was handling his emotions well, so she didn't need to intervene. How did he find out, though? Well, it didn't matter; as long as Deidara brother was okay, that was good enough.

Now that they had half a day to play, she thought they should have some fun! After all, it was a good opportunity to relax.

Deidara had no idea that his act of bowing to the ground was being misunderstood by Kurotsuchi as a sign that he had adjusted his mindset.

After tidying up and washing himself, Deidara encountered trouble while getting dressed.

"Can someone help me? How do I wear this outfit that looks like traditional Chinese clothing!? Aside from not having large sleeves, it's basically a Hanfu! Although it's a bit shorter, only reaching my knees."

The pants were easy to wear, but the upper garment, resembling a Hanfu, was a challenge. With no other choice, Deidara had to seek help from Kurotsuchi outside.

"Ahem, um, Kurotsuchi, could you come in and help me for a moment?" Di Da's slightly embarrassed voice called out.

This made Kurotsuchi, who had been watching him, chuckle out loud.

"Deidara brother, how are you still so clumsy?" Kurotsuchi laughed as she walked in and within a few moments, helped him put on the garment. She then took out a cloth belt to wrap around his waist, finishing with a pretty butterfly knot on the right side.

In response, Di Da could only redden his face in embarrassment.
