The Scribe's Last Story

"So that's why you called all of us?" A group of people shouted, "You all will be branded in the news for being "saviors." So that's the reward, so shut up (also a 400 million, a reward equally distributed)." Akemi pointed out, before an uproar of the audiences, with them excitedly offering Akemi to "bring it on!" or even "How bad can it be!?" 

Akemi then sighed, "I guess the cadres were right, money is an answer." She mumbled, before gesturing to the audience to calm down. "This Roland guy, I feel like Satoya either got kidnapped, or wanted to be cool and try to kill Roland." Sakonori whispered to the group, with Isaac responding with "I'll choose the latter, I'll be honest, Satoya can be pretty stupid." He said, before Edward nudged him by telling him he's even dumber. 

"Alright, quiet down, we'll explain the plan." Akemi said, then in a sheepish manner Kaito slowly displayed a bird-side view of the entire island where a large laboratory is on. "So I think there's around 100 of us here, are you sure we can cover that whole lab?" A woman asked, "I am well confident, if anything goes wrong, I'll notify a requiem rank as backup." Akemi responded. "But fret not, me and Akemi are elite ranks, so we'll be fine. Just don't put dirt on my armor or clothes." Juliet said as she confidently raised her hand. 

"What are requiem ranks?" Edward asked Sendo quietly, "Oh you never heard? The term requiem rank is a new term to describe the top 10 elite ranks - top 10 out of the 20-ish elite ranks in total." He explained. 

"So do you know any of those requiem ranks?" Johnathan asked, "Yeah, Lionel, he was elite rank 9, or now well, Requiem rank 9." Sendo said before the group said "Ohh." in realization as they forgot about Lionel completely.

"So the plan is, the 100 or so people attending this meeting will be distributed into a group of 5, excluding us, as anyone acknowledged to be capable fighters, will be in their own solo group." Akemi explained. 

"Oh perfect, we're a group, but Sendo, are you going alone?" Rayna asked, before Sendo nodded, "my own group has gone off somewhere in the 5th capital, left me here, then I got invited to this meeting." Sendo sighed. 

"We'll be reaching that island through sailing there." Akemi said before adding on with, "we'll be deporting in an hour, so make sure you get to the south beach port, as that is where the ship that is going to take us is located." Akemi added on, after she said that, the audiences rush to leave, despite the south beach being only a 10 minute walk, they all sprinted out in unison, leaving only the group and Sendo, with the 2 elite ranks in confusion
