Chapter 46: CHAPTER 46
The two looked around.
It was Yamato's Thunder Bagua that ultimately lost to Kaido, knocking her into the air, where she collided with the wall.
"Hey, if you're going to compare yourself to Boss Kaido, Master Yamato is still a little inexperienced," Queen laughed.
However, immediately after, Yamato jumped out of the wall, completely ignoring her physical injuries, and continued to attack Kaido with fierce determination.
Queen was taken aback and shouted, "She's so fierce!"
He quickly became a bit suspicious.
"Why does Master Yamato seem off today? She looks angrier than usual. Did someone offend her?"
King also felt something was wrong.
In the past, Yamato often challenged Boss Kaido, but she had never been this desperate before.
This battle of fatherly love and daughterly devotion lasted for more than half a day.
The Three Disasters, the Flying Six, and tens of thousands of Beasts Pirates were all left stunned.
Ulti gulped nervously.
At this moment, she finally realized that the Yamato she had often fought with, the one who always took things lightly, had changed.
Of course, the battle ended with Kaido's victory.
Yamato was seriously injured, though Kaido also bore some damage.
"Nahhhhhh!" Kaido spread his arms and laughed.
"You can't beat me. Do you still want to be Joy Boy, Yamato?"
Yamato lay on the ground, her face filled with unwillingness. The long distance between herself and her father, Kaido, left her feeling a bit hopeless.
At that moment, she suddenly thought of Alastor.
When they first met three years ago, Alastor had seemed pitifully weak in Yamato's eyes.
Over the past three years of continuous training and battles, Yamato had defeated Alastor countless times.
But that man always said to her, calmly:
"Temporary failure doesn't mean forever. How can the road to becoming strong be without thorns?"
Yamato clenched her fists, stood up, took a deep breath, and looked at her father, Kaido, resolutely saying:
"Kaido, no one can stay at the top forever. I will defeat you, and I will become Joy Boy!"
Though Yamato had been defeated, she stood tall with unwavering resolve, dragging her injured body as she left.
Kaido was moved, for the first time shocked by his daughter's courage.
This daughter was truly different from before.
As Kaido pondered what could have caused such a dramatic change in Yamato, the Den Den Mushi suddenly rang, and it was Page One's voice.
"Boss Kaido, we're on our way back to Wano. Brother Alastor was seriously injured by Whitebeard, but luckily he's awake!"
After Yamato left, the three main officers—King, Queen, and Jack—and the four Flying Six—Who's-Who, Sasaki, Black Maria, and Ulti—dared to enter the room.
The palace was in ruins, badly destroyed and in need of rebuilding.
The group was about to speak when the phone rang again. Page One's voice came through, mentioning that Alastor had been seriously injured by Whitebeard.
They were confused, unsure if Page One was speaking the truth. How could Alastor possibly have anything to do with Whitebeard?
Even Kaido's expression shifted slightly.
Edward Newgate, Whitebeard, the man Kaido once revered on the Rocks ship, was now the one who had injured his beloved subordinate. Why?
Kaido's voice darkened with suspicion: "What happened, Page One? I gave you the task of guarding the Mine Island."
"We quickly completed the task of guarding the island," Page One replied. "But on our way back, we ran into the Fourth Division of the Whitebeard Pirates, and a naval battle broke out."
He continued, explaining:
"The Fourth Division was no match for us, but who would've thought that Whitebeard himself would step in? He went berserk for some reason and caused a tsunami!"
"If it hadn't been for Brother Alastor, we might have been wiped out!"
The words echoed in the hall, sending shockwaves through everyone.
Whitebeard, the strongest man in the world, personally got involved. This was a massive event for the entire world.
"Pay Pay, are you alright? Were you injured?" Ulti quickly grabbed the Den Den Mushi, her voice filled with concern.
"I was slightly injured, thanks to Brother Alastor's protection..." Page One's voice responded.
Brother Alastor?
Ulti suddenly realized that Pay Pay had just called Alastor "brother"?
Wasn't it just before she left that Pay Pay had boldly declared she would fight Alastor?
Why was she now calling him "Brother"?
However, compared to Whitebeard's involvement, Page One's change in addressing Alastor went unnoticed by everyone except Ulti.
Kaido suddenly let out an earth-shattering roar.
Boom!
In an instant, he transformed into a massive green dragon, crashing through the roof and soaring into the sky.
"Whitebeard, you are a relic of the old era! How long can your life's flame continue to burn? Do you want me to send you back to the grave, Whitebeard?!"
The roar of the blue dragon reverberated over the entire island.
Kaido was furious, on one hand because Whitebeard had disregarded martial conduct, bullying the weak and nearly killing his valuable subordinate. On the other hand, it was because of Yamato.
Though Yamato no longer claimed to be Kozuki Oden, she firmly believed she would become Joy Boy.
To become Joy Boy, she had to defeat Kaido.
That damned daughter of his was set on fighting this old man, wasn't she?
---
On the Sea, Tens of Miles from Wano
A warship sailed slowly across the waves.
On the ship's deck, there was a mountain of food stacked up.
A young man sat in a chair, staring at the heap of food.
Around him, members of the Beast Pirates stood frozen, their jaws nearly touching the ground.
A pirate whispered in disbelief:
"Since Mr. Page One poured a large amount of liquid food into Mr. Alastor, he miraculously woke up after only half a day."
"After waking up, Lord Alastor asked us to find more food."
"Master Alastor has already eaten at least ten servings from this pile of food!"
The player was completely confused, and the scene before him was beyond his understanding.
"Mr. Alastor can eat so much... How on earth does his stomach hold all that food?"
Suddenly, Alastor turned and looked at him.
Nazhen hurriedly shook his head. "No... it's nothing."
Alastor glared and shouted:
"What are you standing around for if you have nothing to do! You bastard, hurry up and get more food for me!"
"And you! Those who aren't capable, go catch fish in the sea, and those who are, go hunt wild animals on the surrounding islands!"
"If you don't act quickly, I'll eat you. After all, you're all just animals!"
The members of the Hundred Beasts Pirates froze in shock, then quickly bowed and said:
"Understood... Master Alastor!"
Their legs moved swiftly, and they rushed off to gather food, not daring to slack off for a moment.
Along the way, they exchanged glances, and both could see the shock in each other's eyes.
After the battle with Whitebeard, Lord Alastor's majesty and presence had grown even more terrifying, filling them both with awe and admiration.
At this moment, Page One returned carrying a bison more than ten meters long. With a loud thud, he set it down on the ground.
Alastor praised him, "Good job, Pay Pay."
At the same time, a gifter returned, holding a chubby rabbit in his hands.
Alastor glanced at him and said, "You're big and strong, and you caught a rabbit? What a waste! This isn't even enough to stick in my teeth!"
The giver immediately looked ashamed.
"Yes, I'm sorry, Master Alastor!"
He quickly dropped the rabbit and turned to go hunting again.
Alastor turned to Page One and said, "Roast the cow and the rabbit."
"Understood, Brother Alastor."
Although Page One was a member of the Flying Six, he willingly did the work of a cook.
Alastor nodded in satisfaction and continued eating.
With the rapid replenishment of food, his battered body began to recover little by little.
Alastor's injuries this time were severe—the so-called death injury was truly nearly fatal.
Fortunately, he had asked his subordinates to prepare a large amount of liquid food in advance, and thankfully, Page One was quick enough to help replenish it. Otherwise, it's hard to say what the outcome might have been.
Once he finished the food in front of him, Page One's roasted cow and rabbit were ready.
He graciously brought the delicious roasted rabbit to Alastor and, with admiration in his eyes, asked:
"Brother Alastor, how did you recover so quickly? When you were brought back by the Batman, I thought you'd be in a coma for at least a few days. I didn't expect you to wake up after only half a day."
Alastor bit into the rabbit's thigh and answered while chewing:
"Exercise leads to significant changes in a person's physique. An injury is nothing more than a depletion of energy. All that's needed is to replenish the lost energy."
Page One suddenly understood and excitedly said:
"So Brother Alastor's body has been trained to the point where it can absorb food energy even when unconscious, and the more he eats, the faster his injuries heal!"
Alastor gave Page One an approving look, which made the latter even more excited.
However, Alastor felt a little guilty for deceiving Page One—he had turned the young man into a fool, and soon his capable little brother would catch on.
"Ahem, Pay Pay, keep hunting. When I recover fully, I'll teach you how to cultivate Haki. Even though you're an ancient Zoan user, you can't rely only on your tough body. Your Haki must be strengthened as well."
"You need to understand that only Haki can overpower everything!"
Page One was so moved and grateful that tears welled up in his eyes. Brother Alastor was so kind to him!
Watching Page One energetically leave, Alastor immediately turned his attention to the bison.
It didn't take long for him to finish the entire roasted bison.
But Alastor's stomach still felt empty.
