Inside Gu Ming’s Room
“Brother, I want to hear about your adventures during your travels,” Mia said, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Gu Ming. Gu Ming smiled indulgently and replied, “Alright, let me tell you about it. Where should I start?”
He gently patted Mia’s head and sat on the bed.
“When Uncle John and I were on our way to Augslen, we encountered many, many orcs. They not only looked fierce but also drooled as they watched us. Oh, but your brother here…”
Mia and Tina listened intently, their faces occasionally showing expressions of tension and joy as if they were experiencing the adventure themselves.
“That’s all for today,” he concluded.
Mia and Tina immediately showed disappointed expressions.
“Ah, brother, I still want to hear more stories. Please continue,” Mia pleaded while shaking Gu Ming’s arm.
Tina also nodded in agreement beside her; she too wanted to hear more of the story.
Seeing their earnest faces made Gu Ming feel panicked inside. not because he didn’t want to continue but because he really couldn’t make up any more for today.
“Sigh, taking care of children is truly exhausting. Phew! It seems I have no choice but to use my special trick today.”
Gu Ming reached into his pocket and pulled out ten lollipops from his system stash as a consolation,
“Brother has to go learn swordsmanship from master now. Only well-behaved children get lollipops.”
Tina and Mia took the lollipops and started licking them right away; with her mouth full Mia mumbled,
“Sssshh… then I’m going to watch brother practice.”
Tina whispered softly,
“I want to watch Big Brother Master practice too.”
Gu Ming nodded,
“Alright, then let’s go find Master Haimer.”
…
Arriving at the hall, Gu Ming bowed to Haimer and said,
“Master, please begin teaching me to cultivate.”
Haimer put down his wine jug, stood up, and picked up a sword,
“Fine, follow me outside the house.”
“Yes.”
…
The four of them went outside, and Haimer, getting straight to the point, demonstrated to Gu Ming,
“This sword technique is called ‘Meteor Four Forms,’ watch closely, my disciple.”
Haimer flourished the sword, then swung it into motion,
“The first form, Meteor Flash, the sword seeks only the ultimate speed, a move to slay the enemy.
The second form, Meteor Shower, this requires the sword energy to be fierce, the aura ever-changing.
The third form, Meteor Guard, this requires one’s energy to coat the surface of the sword, forming an indestructible shield.
The fourth form, Meteor Fall, this is the strongest and most dangerous move among the four forms. In battle, it should not be used unless absolutely necessary. This move is simple; it mobilizes the essence, energy, and spirit of the whole body, unleashing a devastating strike like a falling meteor. And why do I say it’s dangerous? Because it mobilizes all the body’s energy, so after this move is executed, you will have no strength left to fight.”
Haimer sheathed his sword, looking at Gu Ming’s dazed expression,
“Do you understand?”
“Um,”
Gu Ming nodded.
Haimo handed the sword to Gu Ming, saying, “Give it a try.”
“Okay.”
Gu Ming started making exaggerated gestures with the sword in front of Haimo.
“No, no, what are you learning? You need to learn how to harness your own energy.”
“Ah, sorry.”
“Again.”
“Ha!”
“No, one more time.”
“Hu hu, yes.”
…
After an afternoon of training, Gu Ming finally managed to perform the complete sword technique.
“‘Meteor Four Styles’ partial learning success experience added.”
Gu Ming looked at the message on the panel and smiled happily.

Thus passed the training days of Gu Ming…
…
Gu Ming’s Lazy Day 1:
At noon, still groggy from injuries sustained during training days ago, Gu Ming was lying on his bed when he suddenly heard a sharp snap.
At the doorway, Haimer and Tina approached him.
“Master,” called out Gu Ming.
Haimer seemed not to hear him and said sternly,
“Gu Ming, you must come with me now.”
“Mm,” replied Gu Ming reluctantly.
Tina pleaded from the side,
“Master Haimer, my brother hasn’t fully recovered yet. Maybe we could wait a little longer?”
Haimer placed his hand on Gu Ming’s shoulder and patted it,
“He’ll be fine.”
Tina lifted Gu Ming’s hand towards Haimer as she spoke.
“Master Haimo, look, my brother’s hands are still very cold. Should we wait a bit longer?”
Haimo looked at Gu Ming with a somewhat disappointed expression.
“I know Gu Ming’s body better than anyone; he will warm up soon (referring to training).”
“Gu Ming, come with me.”
Having no chance to slack off, Gu Ming could only follow Haimo outside to continue his training.
…
Gu Ming’s Daily Training 2:
On a sunny midday, outside, Gu Ming was continuously chopping at the rock in front of him with his wooden sword. Suddenly there was a loud ‘bang’, and a crack appeared around the rock which then collapsed under the impact of the wooden sword. Excitedly, Gu Ming shouted,
“I did it! Master, look. I finally did it!”
Haimo walked over unsteadily and shook his head after inspecting the situation; he seemed unsatisfied with the outcome.
“You didn’t shatter the rock; you merely knocked it down.”
Then Haimo shaped his right hand like a blade and chopped at that same rock. splitting it directly into two halves.
“Bang!”
Gu Ming stepped forward to examine it and showed a puzzled expression on his face.
“Ahh,”
Haimo said calmly,
“I could even split it using both hands; don’t think too simply.”
Gu Ming’s self-satisfaction was abruptly shattered by Haimo’s stern reprimand.
Gu Ming’s Self-Training Daily 3:
Secretly practicing Star Flash movements by hanging a wooden post from a tree, when Haimo saw this he immediately scolded him…
“What are you practicing?”
Haimer asked Gu Ming seriously.
“Can you defeat the enemy by practicing like this?”
Haimer grasped the shaking wooden post with his hand.
“This is just a piece of wood; it has no feelings of love or hate.”
“Watch carefully, this is how it should be done.”
…
The situation of the two women:
Tina, wanting to help Gu Ming, later joined his training and gradually learned the Meteor Sword Technique.
Mia, with her exceptional magical talent, had a tutor found by Simon to help develop her gift. Now, she spends most days immersed in the mansion’s library. It’s gratifying that Mia’s affinity for the four elements. wind, fire, water, earth. is remarkably high, allowing her to make visibly rapid progress every day.
As days passed, Gu Ming’s swordsmanship and strength visibly grew.
“Huff, I will survive and become the strongest.”
