Transmigrating into the Ultimate Endgame as the Final Boss

Chapter 1 - A First-Time Experience

Chapter 1 – A First-Time Experience

Lin Yaoyao was feeling utterly perplexed. She couldn’t fathom why, after their recent intimate encounter, Ling Tian was now maintaining his usual cold demeanor.

“Is there nothing you want to say?” She was sitting on the sofa, draped in a silver-grey silk nightgown that left her snow-white shoulders and long, slender legs shimmering like crystal. Her captivating eyes were fixed on the icy man seated across from her.

Ling Tian was her roommate, or more accurately, her tenant. Lin Yaoyao was, in fact, the rightful owner of the house, a recent college graduate currently interning. Her intern salary didn’t cover all her expenses. She had reached an age where she no longer wished to rely on her parents for financial support.

So, she had the idea to share her living space. She posted an ad online for a roommate, and the very next day, Ling Tian had come knocking on her door. That marked the beginning of their cohabitation, which had been ongoing for several months.

Upon returning home today, Lin Yaoyao had decided to take a shower. It wasn’t until after she had finished that she realized she had forgotten to bring her nightgown to change into. So, she had asked Ling Tian to fetch it from her room.

She swore that, initially, she had only wanted Ling Tian to retrieve her nightgown. However, she now admitted to acting impulsively. Nevertheless, she wasn’t a child, and her actions weren’t as significant as they might seem. She had long harbored the desire to take her relationship with Ling Tian to the next level.

The issue was, after everything that had transpired, Ling Tian remained as cold and distant as ever. He acted as though nothing had happened, spoke no tender words, and offered no reassurance. This left Lin Yaoyao in a state of frustration.

“Aren’t you going to say anything or express your feelings?” she implored. “It was my first time! I gave you everything! Do you know how many men want to be with me but can’t even get close? And now that you’ve had me, you’re just silent and indifferent? What, do you want to get away with no responsibilities? Do you think I’m disposable? If you were to ask me to be your girlfriend in the future, I would have agreed without hesitation. We could have a relationship! But you remain silent, not even looking my way after it’s all over. What kind of attitude is that?”

Ling Tian, seated across from her, maintained his calm gaze and asked, “What do you think… I should say?”

Lin Yaoyao frowned, finding herself at a loss for words. At that moment, regret washed over her. She shouldn’t have acted so impulsively or given any hints.

But here she was, trapped, and he was still maintaining his distant demeanor. It was infuriating. In Lin Yaoyao’s eyes, Ling Tian was a peculiar individual. Having shared a living space for over half a year, she had realized that Ling Tian was rarely at home. He often spent his nights away, and their simultaneous presence in the house was a rare occurrence.

Moreover, Ling Tian was known for his reticence. He hardly spoke to her for days on end, as if nothing were significant enough to warrant his words. He was as silent as a still pond, much like his eyes, which remained devoid of emotion regardless of the circumstances.

Although he appeared quite young, likely in his early twenties, he was undeniably handsome. Aside from his aloofness, he exuded an air of inexplicable nobility, akin to a mysterious young master from an affluent family.

Initially, Lin Yaoyao had merely been curious about why someone of her age, or even younger, would be so reserved. It was as if he harbored some undisclosed pain in his heart, leading to the construction of an emotional barrier around him. At least, that was how Lin Yaoyao perceived it.

In her view, individuals his age should not be perpetually quiet unless they had experienced significant hardship. She even wondered if Ling Tian might hail from a wealthy family and had encountered some sort of trouble, resulting in his current demeanor.

Over time, her curiosity about Ling Tian had grown. She had yearned to understand him, to scale the emotional wall he had erected, and to enter his inner world with tenderness. She had desired to soothe the emotional scars he concealed.

Yet, here she was, having acted on impulse, and she found that she had given everything to Ling Tian, only to remain on the outside. An insurmountable emotional barrier stood before her, and it seemed that Ling Tian regarded her as nothing more than a momentary outlet for his desires, without any place in his heart.

So, what did this incident truly signify? Was it merely about mutual satisfaction for a single night? Lin Yaoyao was not the type to seek momentary pleasure. For her, it signified a lifelong commitment. She was willing to give herself, both body and soul, to Ling Tian. But it appeared that Ling Tian had an entirely different perspective, seeking only momentary pleasure without any sense of responsibility.

“You initiated this,” Ling Tian’s cold voice cut through the silence once more. Lin Yaoyao’s heart skipped a beat upon hearing this, as if a glass shattered within her. So, he truly had no intention of taking responsibility.
