Uchiha Ascendant: Rewriting the Ninja World

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Medicine Won’t Save the Shinobi World!

At the border of the Land of Rain, in the Konoha Shinobi encampment.

Outside the tent, a light drizzle persisted, the humid air making it slightly uncomfortable to breathe.

"Hey, hey, Uchiha brat, studying medicine won't save the Shinobi world."

Inside the tent, Tsunade, the logistic commander of the battlefield in the Land of Rain, rarely showed a hint of mockery beneath her commanding demeanor.

Standing before her was Uchiha Yo, a young boy whose Konoha headband still carried a hint of childishness. His face, however, was marked by unwavering determination.

"Captain Tsunade, for Konoha, and for the Will of Fire!"

Uchiha Yo's voice was resolute, but in Tsunade's eyes, it only inspired disdain. As expected of an Uchiha—so stubborn!

Just another kid brainwashed by the so-called Will of Fire.

Uchiha Yo was a standout from his graduating class, alongside Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina. After finishing in the top three, he was immediately assigned to Tsunade's command during the Second Great Ninja War.

"Fine, fine, you stubborn Uchiha brat. So, since you're so dedicated to Konoha, how's the logistics inventory coming along? And what about your training in Mystical Palm Technique?"

Tsunade's teasing tone made the young Uchiha Yo's expression stiffen with embarrassment. His voice grew weaker as he responded.

"Captain Tsunade, I haven't completed the Mystical Palm Technique training yet… but the logistics report is ready."

The handsome young Uchiha looked as though he was fully dedicated to assisting Tsunade with the inventory of the logistics supplies.

Seeing this, Tsunade relaxed into a smile. Although this Uchiha brat wasn't particularly strong, he was undeniably competent in his duties.

Nearly all the logistics work had been handed over to Uchiha Yo, leaving her only the final review. It had halved her workload, allowing her rare moments of leisure.

Yet, behind her easygoing demeanor was a hidden weight of concern—the current situation on the battlefield was grim.

As Tsunade flipped through the inventory report, her peripheral vision swept over the young Uchiha. Indeed, a first-ranked graduate's intellect was unmatched.

However, beneath Uchiha Yo's seemingly single-minded devotion to the Will of Fire, a cold smile lingered in his heart.

The best hunters often appear as prey.

"By the way, Captain Tsunade!"

After finishing his report, Uchiha Yo hesitated. Tsunade, in the prime of her life, glanced at him with her golden hair shining like a beacon. Her teasing smile lingered, giving her an air of playful confidence.

"What is it, brat? As long as you behave, your captain will make sure you survive this war."

Feigning hesitation, Uchiha Yo clenched his teeth and finally uttered a name.

"The clan elder."

In an instant, the playful smile on Tsunade's face froze.

With a nervous yet resolute expression, Uchiha Yo continued in a firm tone:

"This matter concerns the Uchiha elder."

The elder of the Uchiha clan—there was only one: Uchiha Setsuna.

This was no ordinary figure. Even Masashi Kishimoto himself had made notes about this individual.

Uchiha Setsuna was a hawk, inheriting Uchiha Madara's ideology. During the Second Hokage's tenure, he incited rebellion among his clan, leading to his imprisonment by the ANBU.

If not for the sudden death of the Second Hokage and the outbreak of war, necessitating the Uchiha clan's strength, this elder would have never been released.

"Brat!"

Tsunade's expression turned grave as she looked at Uchiha Yo and spoke in a low voice:

"This man is dangerous, and you know it."

Uchiha Yo nodded resolutely.

"Captain Tsunade, I know. But the elder secretly entrusted me with a scroll, claiming it concerns the survival of the clan. He insisted I deliver it to you personally."

With unwavering resolve, Uchiha Yo slowly retrieved a green scroll from his pouch and offered it with both hands.

"Captain Tsunade, for the village, if there's anything wrong with this scroll, I, Uchiha Yo, am willing to take full responsibility!"

At that moment, Uchiha Yo appeared as nothing more than a devoted follower of the Will of Fire.

Seeing his conviction, Tsunade secretly nodded.

This brat had been under her command for over a year and had shown exceptional performance. While he had a sharp mind, his loyalty to the village was on par with her younger brother, Nawaki.

"Alright."

As Tsunade took the scroll, Uchiha Yo lowered his head, a glint of cunning flashing in his eyes.

He had been in this world for twelve years. Despite the Uchiha name being ostracized and isolated in Konoha, it was still a noble lineage.

Konoha was founded by the Senju and the Uchiha clans. The Senju had already produced two Hokage. Surely, it was the Uchiha's turn.

Yet the Uchiha were treated worse than the Inuzuka clan, who spent their time playing with dogs.

Damn it!

Before his arrival, the Uchiha had been ostracized and ultimately massacred. If he allowed the same fate to unfold, his reincarnation would have been for nothing.

In his previous life, he was a top-performing agent in Southeast Asia's toughest market. How could he endure such humiliation now?

Especially in a world where immense power was at his fingertips—how could he resign himself to mediocrity?

"This is…"

As Tsunade opened the scroll and read its contents, her expression darkened. Fury ignited in her eyes as she glared at Uchiha Yo.

The brat she had thought so highly of had just handed her something so heinous!

"Captain Tsunade!"

Facing Tsunade's wrath, Uchiha Yo lowered his head, his expression firm.

"As a Konoha shinobi, I, Uchiha Yo, am ready to accept any punishment!"

Tsunade took a deep breath, suppressing her anger. In its place came a chilling calm.

Tsunade wasn't merely a powerhouse; her strategic mind was as sharp as her fists.

"Brat, aren't you curious about what's written in this scroll?"

With a cold smile, Tsunade's earlier goodwill toward Uchiha Yo had all but evaporated.

Uchiha Yo, feigning determination, nodded and took the scroll. When he read its contents, his expression shifted dramatically.

"Captain Tsunade, you mustn't believe a word of this!"

His voice was filled with rage as he exclaimed:

"That wretched elder is clearly trying to sow discord between you and the village! He's despicable!"

At that moment, Uchiha Yo radiated bloodlust, as though he wished to kill the elder himself.

Seeing his reaction, Tsunade frowned. It seemed the boy had been used.

It made sense. A fanatic brainwashed by the Will of Fire was the perfect unwitting pawn to deliver such information.

Still…

"Brat, no matter what, you mustn't utter a word of this scroll's contents. If you do—"

Tsunade's threatening gaze made Uchiha Yo visibly shrink in fear. Suppressing his anger, he nodded resolutely.

"Captain Tsunade, I understand. With the Shinobi World War raging, we can't afford any internal unrest."

Tsunade, observing his reaction, nodded slightly. It seemed the brat was genuinely unaware of the manipulation.

Meanwhile, beneath his frustrated f

acade, Uchiha Yo let out a silent sigh of relief.

Let the pieces fall into place.

He had just delivered a gift to Konoha—a significant one.
