Chapter 106: Wanda In Black Silk Stockings, Ch 46.4
Wanda bit her lip, a look of discontent on her face.
Hode's waist twisted sharply.
I don't know what got into him last night; he was so excited. It was just putting on the Ghost Spider's combat suit, yet it seemed to boost Hode's fighting spirit immensely. The entire night, she couldn't breathe normally, and even this morning, she woke up in pain.
"Your body is still a bit too weak. You can't make me happy like this," Hode said with a mischievous smile as he wrapped his arms around Wanda's slim waist, carefully guiding her toward the stairs. After all, his combat ability certainly wasn't to be underestimated.
"Who could make you happy? You're just the most terrifying weirdo!" Wanda rolled her eyes in annoyance. Compared to most people, her physique was already quite robust. To say her physical condition couldn't keep up was simply alarmist.
"You can definitely do it. When the time comes, I'll make sure to supplement you well," Hode replied, the corners of his mouth curling up as he added, "Have you heard of 'form complements form'?"
At the mention, Wanda recalled the last time they had breakfast together when Hode had teased her about it.
"I don't want to; you're really bad!" Without a moment's hesitation, Wanda shook her head. With Hode's support, she finally made it to the dining table and sat down.
"What's up with the leftover dishes on the table?" At that moment, Wanda noticed the plates left on the table, which clearly indicated that they had just been used.
Hode suddenly felt a wave of realization hit him. He had been so eager that he forgot to clean up the dishes he had just used.
"This... this is what I was using for cooking," he quickly explained.
"Oh," Wanda replied, picking up one of the utensils.
"Let me get you a new set."
Watching Wanda grab a fork, Hode's expression turned somewhat awkward.
"There's no need; I don't mind if you've used them."
Wanda waved her hand dismissively, not really considering the matter. After all, they had already done what they needed to do, so using the same utensils wasn't a big deal. Besides, Hode had mentioned that these were just for trying out the food.
The energy consumption last night had been too high, and she was nearly starving; she didn't care too much about the details and dug in eagerly.
"Mm, not bad. Hode, you could open a five-star hotel as a chef!" Wanda exclaimed as she savored the dish Hode had prepared, marveling at how much better it was than she had expected. She had eaten her share of good food, but it was on a completely different level compared to Hode's cooking.
"Since you like it, eat more." Hode sat beside Wanda.
"Why aren't you eating?" Wanda noticed Hode just sitting there and asked curiously.
"I'll pass this time." Hode's mouth twitched. Just earlier, he and Greg had been sharing a bowl, and he was already stuffed, unable to eat another bite.
"No way! It's not healthy to skip breakfast," Wanda said, promptly shoving a piece of fried bun toward him. "Plus, not finishing it would be a waste."
Facing Wanda's insistence, Hode's face turned pale, but he reluctantly took a deep breath and bit into it.
As time passed, he could feel the food creeping up his throat, but Wanda didn't give up until he had finished his meal.
Fully satisfied, Wanda leaned back in her chair, seemingly recalling something.
"What happened?
'By the way, Hode, where did that ghost spider suit go?'
'I just woke up and couldn't find it.'
