"What the hell! Emily scoffed. "You are such a joker", Emily laughed.

But Ryan was calm. He stared at her dead in the face. "I'm serious".He stayed quiet, and a pang of frustration flashed in his eyes."You just have to act like it, nothing serious".

Emily suddenly stopped laughing. "I'm sorry I can't do that".

"Then I am afraid you have to make a transfer of $100,000", he said flatly.

"Bullshit! Emily sighed. "Okay, for how long?

"Until you can make the transfer", Ryan said.

Emily took in a long breath. She had no choice but to agree. "Alright".

"Good girl", he smiled.

Emily shifted on her feet. "Can I go now? She couldn't wait to escape from this proud, arrogant, manipulative, annoyingly handsome man.

"Not yet", he said. "Your phone please", he stretched a hand.

"Why?

"Because I need your contact", he said.

Emily handed him her phone.

He typed his contact and dialled. His phone rang in his pocket. "Here", he handed her back her phone. "I just exchanged our contact. What's your name?

"Emily. Emily Carter", she said.

"Alright ", he smiled. "A pleasure to meet you, Emily ", he said stretching his hand for a handshake.

Emily scoffed. Ignoring his hands, she tried walking away. But Ryan stopped her.

"What again? Emily yelled, physically angry and mentally irritated.

"You have to tell me where you're going", he said calmly.

"And why is that? She huffed.

"You're my girlfriend and I deserve to know your every move".

Emily rolled her eyes. So controlling! What in heaven's name has she gotten herself into?

"You said earlier you had an appointment", he said. "With who?

Oh God give me the patience not to strike this asshole in the balls." Chloe, Cherie DeVille's manager".

"Okay", he nodded."Is she here?

"She told me she would be here but her line hasn't been going through ", Emily said, her voice laced with frustration and worry.

Ryan noticed the worried look on her face. He dialled Chloe's number. Chloe picked at the first ring. And before you say jack-Chloe was seen walking up to them.

Emily's eyes widened with surprise. She couldn't believe it. How could he make Chloe come so fast?
