Blossom Again

The rest of the days went so fast, and before the twinkling of an eye, it was the weekend. The project on the new release of Ethereal Beauty's Super Volume mascara was a success. Emily still finds it hard to believe that Cherie DeVille is the new ambassador of Ethereal Beauty Company. And the model is doing a great job of influencing viewers with her social media handles. Sales have skyrocketed so high, and Stella Falls, the CEO, was so proud of Emily.

All this is all thanks to the influence of Ryan who acted like an angel.

Emily found herself searching for Ryan's identity on a search engine, there she finds his profile. She had no idea earlier that day who, Ryan was.

She knew he must be someone influential because not only had he summoned Chloe, Cherie DeVille's manager so easily, but he also made the A-list supermodel Cherie DeVille herself come over. And from their interaction, Emily could tell they were friends.

A lower-class person could never be friends with an influential supermodel like Cherie DeVille. A top model in the whole of New York and worldwide.

He must be someone powerful. She thought.

A knock brought Emily back from her reverie.

"Come in, "Emily said.

Janet, her assistant, walked in with a bouquet in her hands."Someone dropped this for you, ma'am".

Emily was surprised. She wasn't expecting much. Who could have brought that? She thought. Her life has been full of surprises lately.

Emily collected the flower and smelled it. It looked so beautiful and the sweet scent of lilies, roses and daisies filled her nose. A smile crossed her lips. Janet who was standing and watching, smiled too and walked out.

Emily noticed a written note, neatly folded and kept amid the flowers.

She reached for the note and read aloud 'Hi princess, hope you are having a wonderful day ', picking you up by noon"

Ryan.

How did he know when I was at work and when I was not? Emily thought to herself.

She didn't expect him to send her flowers when their relationship was not real, but only an act to deceive whoever Ryan wanted to deceive. Emily wrapped up her work early in the afternoon and strolled out of the building.

Emily stepped out of the building and froze in shock. Right there, parked at the curb, was a sleek Rolls Royce Phantom. Ryan, the famous music idol, stood by the car, looking every bit as dazzling as the vehicle itself. Emily's mouth hung open in disbelief.

"Is this for real? Am I going to ride in this car?" she wondered.

Before Emily could fully process the scene, Ryan stepped out of the car with an effortless grace and walked toward her. His sharp suit and confident demeanour screamed wealth and charm.

"Please stop gawking and just get in," he said smoothly, opening the car door for her.

But Emily didn't move. She remained rooted to the spot, her expression changing from shock to suspicion.

With a raised eyebrow and a defiant tone, she asked, "Did you come here just to show off, huh, Mr. Arrogant?"

Ryan was caught off guard. Instead of being offended, he burst into laughter. His deep chuckle echoed across the street.

"Emily, please," he said after a moment. "Get in the car. We have somewhere to be."

Emily crossed her arms and frowned, refusing to budge. Her stubborn streak kicked in, and she planted her feet firmly on the ground.

"I'm not going anywhere with you until you tell me where we're going," she declared.

As the standoff continued, a group of Emily's colleagues passed by. They immediately recognized Ryan, whispering excitedly among themselves.

"Isn't that Ryan Andrews? The famous music idol?" one of them exclaimed, loud enough for both Ryan and Emily to hear.

Ryan noticed the growing attention and frowned. The last thing he wanted was to cause a scene. Acting quickly, he reached for Emily's arm. Without another word, Ryan pushed Emily gently but firmly into the car.

"Wait, stop! Leave me alone!" Emily protested, her voice rising in alarm.

But Ryan didn't let go. He covered her mouth with one hand to quiet her protests and signalled the driver.

"Drive," he ordered.
