DC: Becoming Supreme With Technology ( I Beat Superman)

Chapter 63: Banishing The Demons, Hiring Constantine.

Aquaman faced a demon wielding twin axes, their clash sending shockwaves through the battlefield. With a deft maneuver, he parried the axes and plunged his trident into the demon's chest, unleashing a torrent of water that extinguished its fiery core.

Flash darted between two demons, taunting them as they swung their massive weapons in vain. He created a vortex around one, disorienting it before Cyborg finished it off with a well-placed plasma blast. The second demon swiped at Flash but hit only air; the speedster retaliated with a rapid series of punches that left the creature dazed.

Cyborg engaged another demon, using his sonic cannon to destabilize its footing. When it stumbled, he transformed his arm into a massive blade and delivered a decisive blow that severed its head.

While the Justice League engaged the giants, Ethan focused on thinning the horde of lesser demons. His petrification beam turned swarms of creatures into crumbling statues, and his lunar energy blasts tore through their ranks. However, his attention turned to the largest giant—a demon wielding a molten iron hammer that towered over even the other colossi.

Ethan charged at the creature, evading a swing of the hammer that shattered the ground where he had just stood. He leapt onto the giant's arm, climbing it with the agility of a predator. The demon roared in frustration, trying to shake him off, but Ethan reached its head and unleashed a concentrated burst of lunar energy into its skull. The creature howled as its body erupted in silver flames, collapsing into a heap of ash.

Despite their efforts, the Justice League and Ethan realized the giants were only a distraction. Bael's massive form began to emerge fully from the portal, his dark wings unfurling as his spell to merge Gotham with hell neared completion.

Ethan landed beside Superman, breathing heavily but determined. "We're holding them back, but Bael is the real threat. We need to stop him before it's too late."

Superman and Ethan exchanged a grim glance, their determination steeling them for the monumental task ahead. The Demon Prince Bael stood before them, his towering form exuding an aura of oppressive dread. Crimson wings spread wide, his malevolent gaze burned with the fires of the 15th layer of hell. The ground beneath him cracked and hissed with sulfur, and the air shimmered with the heat of his unholy power.

"You dare stand before me?" Bael's voice was a deep, reverberating growl that shook the battlefield. "Your defiance is amusing, but futile."

Superman and Ethan charged simultaneously, unleashing a coordinated assault. Superman's fists landed with the force of meteors, each blow sending shockwaves rippling outward. Ethan, glowing with lunar energy, struck with precise, devastating blows, his power a match for Bael's infernal strength.

Despite their efforts, Bael's mastery of demonic magic soon tilted the balance. He raised his clawed hand, summoning tendrils of molten chains that lashed at Superman. The Man of Steel dodged, but Bael anticipated his movements, blasting him with a concentrated wave of hellfire. Superman cried out in pain, the magic bypassing his physical invulnerability and searing his essence.

Ethan lunged forward, deflecting the next wave of fire with a barrier of lunar energy. He shouted at Superman to retreat, but Bael struck again, his claws raking across Superman's chest and sending him crashing into a nearby building. The structure collapsed, dust and debris obscuring the hero's form.

Ethan gritted his teeth, his energy flaring. "Wonder Woman," he called through his communicator, "Superman's down. I need you here now!"

Within moments, wonder woman soared onto the battlefield, her divine armor gleaming in the dim light of the infernal glow. She landed beside Ethan, her sword drawn and her shield raised. "Let's finish this," she said, her voice resolute.

Together, they engaged Bael. Wonder woman skill and agility allowed her to deflect Bael's hellish strikes, her shield absorbing the impact of his fiery blasts. Ethan, wielding his lunar energy and petrification beam, targeted Bael's wings, forcing the demon prince to stay grounded.

Bael roared in fury, the ground beneath him erupting in flames as he summoned an unholy sigil to trap his opponents. Wonder woman leaped into the air, her lasso glowing with divine energy as she lashed it around Bael's arm. Ethan followed up with a powerful blast, striking Bael's chest and staggering him.

As the battle raged, Ethan activated his communicator, contacting Constantine. "We need an exorcism or a banishment ritual, now!"

Constantine's voice crackled through the device. "Bloody hell, you're asking me to banish a prince of hell in the middle of a war zone? Fine, I'll walk you through it. But you'd better keep him off me!"

Ethan relayed the information to Diana, and they adjusted their strategy. While Wonder Woman kept Bael occupied with her relentless assault, Ethan began channeling the lunar energy into a makeshift circle of containment. Constantine's instructions echoed in his mind as he carefully etched symbols into the ground, his energy infusing them with power.

Bael noticed their efforts and let out a guttural snarl. "You dare attempt to banish me?!" His wings flared, and he summoned another horde of demons to disrupt the ritual.

Ethan stood his ground, firing beams of petrification and lunar energy to hold back the oncoming swarm. Diana fought with unparalleled ferocity, her sword cutting through demons like a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.

As the containment circle neared completion, Bael unleashed his full power, rising into the sky and weaving a spell of unimaginable destruction. The air shimmered as a rift began to form, threatening to merge hell and Gotham into one nightmarish realm.

Ethan and wonder woman redoubled their efforts. Ethan activated the echobox, enhancing the containment circle with its advanced capabilities. Diana leaped into the air, using her lasso to bind Bael's wings and drag him back to the ground.

Constantine arrived on the battlefield, his trench coat billowing in the wind. "You two have done your part; now it's my turn." He stepped into the containment circle, chanting in an ancient, guttural language that seemed to resonate with the very fabric of reality.

Bael roared in defiance, his form flickering as the banishment spell began to take hold. "You think this will stop me? I will return, and your world will burn!"

With a final surge of energy, the containment circle flared to life, its symbols glowing with blinding intensity. Bael's form dissolved into a vortex of dark energy, his screams echoing as he was pulled back into the depths of hell. The portal collapsed in on itself, sucking the remaining demons back into the void.

As the battlefield fell silent, Ethan, wonder woman, and Constantine stood amidst the ruins, their bodies battered and their breaths ragged. The door to hell was gone, leaving Gotham scarred but intact.

Wonder Woman placed a hand on Ethan's shoulder. "It's over," she said, her voice both relieved and weary.

Ethan nodded, his gaze fixed on the smoldering ground where the portal had been. "For now," he replied.

Constantine lit a cigarette, his hands trembling slightly. "Well, that was bloody awful. Next time, let's skip the hell princes, yeah?"

As the Justice League regrouped, the heroes shared a moment of quiet reflection. They had faced unimaginable horrors and emerged victorious.

As the dust settled over the scarred battlefield, the Justice League gathered in the eerie stillness. Superman, still recovering from his earlier injuries, stood alongside Wonder Woman, Ethan, and the rest of the team. Constantine, looking as if he had just walked out of a pub rather than a hellish warzone, stood apart from the group, idly flicking his cigarette into the smoldering remains of a demon's claw.

Batman, his cape billowing in the faint breeze, stepped forward, his eyes locked on Constantine. The detective in him had already made a decision, and it was time to put it into action.

"You're resourceful," Batman began, his voice cutting through the silence like a blade. "Your knowledge of magic and demonology proved critical tonight. Without you, this would have ended in disaster."

Constantine raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a faint smirk. "You're not wrong, mate. But if you're about to hand me a medal, I'll pass. Not really my style."

Batman ignored the quip. "The Justice League needs someone like you. Demonic threats like this aren't isolated, and we can't afford to be caught off guard again. I'm offering you a position as the team's magical consultant."

The group exchanged glances. Superman, who was leaning against a broken lamppost, nodded in agreement. "We've never faced anything like this before. It's clear we're out of our depth when it comes to magic."

Wonder Woman added, "Your expertise was invaluable tonight, Constantine. You have my vote."

Constantine exhaled a cloud of smoke, his eyes narrowing as he regarded the assembled heroes. "You lot have no idea what you're asking for. You think magic's all spells and fireworks, but it's messy, dangerous, and it never ends well. Trust me, I've been at this long enough to know."

Ethan stepped forward, his gaze steady. "And yet, you stayed. You fought. Whatever reasons you might have, you chose to help. That's what matters."

Constantine rubbed the back of his neck, clearly uncomfortable with the praise. "Fine. I'll bite. But let's get one thing straight—I'm not joining your little club. You call me when things get bad, and I'll see what I can do. Don't expect me to be a team player, and don't expect me to stick around when the dust settles."

Batman extended a hand, his expression unreadable. "Agreed. Welcome aboard, Constantine."

Constantine hesitated for a moment before shaking Batman's hand. "You'd better have good coffee at your meetings. And no bloody capes."

As the Justice League began to regroup and prepare for their return to their respective cities, Batman and Constantine lingered for a moment longer, surveying the battlefield.

"This won't be the last time something like this happens," Batman said, his voice low.

Constantine nodded, lighting another cigarette. "No, it won't. But next time, you'll have me. And if we're lucky, maybe we'll survive."

The two men stood in silence, their uneasy alliance forged in the fires of battle.
