Chapter 175: Mahiro And Syr eating Together!

Chapter 175 - Mahiro And Syr eating Together!

"Eh?"

Faced with Mahiro's invitation, Syr was stunned for a moment before smiling politely, a sly glint flashing in her eyes.

"No way, I'm working now, so I can't have dinner with the guests."

As she said this, Syr playfully winked at Mahiro.

Her lovely face carried an apologetic expression, but there was also a hint of smugness.

"I'm so sorry, guest. Your kindness is appreciated, though."

Syr smiled softly, like the girl next door.

"In other words, does that mean Miss Syr is willing to have dinner with me?" Mahiro wasn't discouraged and continued with an indifferent smile.

"Well, since the guest has invited me... but I'm too busy right now. I can't get away," Syr said apologetically once more.

"If Miss Syr is willing, then there's no problem," Mahiro said, clapping his hands lightly.

He then stood up and added, "Wait here for just a moment."

After speaking, Mahiro left his seat and walked toward the bar.

"Huh?"

Syr tilted her head in confusion, watching Mahiro's back as he walked away. She had no idea what he was up to.

"Syr, I'll go help out for now," Ryuu said calmly.

After speaking to Syr, she picked up a tray and turned to leave.

"Okay, Ryuu," Syr replied, her eyes still fixed on Mahiro.

She watched as Mahiro approached Mia and started chatting with her.

The two talked for nearly a minute.

"Syr, I'll give you the night off. You can leave work early," Mia called out with a bold smile.

"Take good care of your friend!"

"Eh?" Syr's eyes widened in disbelief.

Her mouth opened slightly as she stammered, "How is that possible?!"

"Well, Miss Syr, there's no problem now," Mahiro said with a grin after finishing his conversation with Mia.

He turned around and winked at Syr before heading back to his seat.

"What did you say to Mia? How did she agree to let me have dinner with you?" Syr asked, still puzzled.

It was the busiest time at the tavern, and yet just a few words from Mahiro had earned her the night off.

It felt strange no matter how she thought about it.

"Mia is a very understanding person," Mahiro replied casually.

"Understanding?" Syr repeated with a strange expression.

In her experience, Mia was anything but understanding.

She was strict, hot-tempered, and didn't tolerate nonsense.

Mahiro, noticing Syr's bewildered expression, smirked internally.

He wanted to tell her about What it meant to simply add money.

Mahiro had spent 50,000 valis to persuade Mia to let Syr take the evening off.

Since it was taken money, he felt no guilt in spending it this way.

"Alright, Miss Syr, you're welcome. Now sit down and eat with me," Mahiro said, gesturing for Syr to join him with a smile that was free of malice.

Syr, however, froze.

Her eyes fell on the two massive plates of food on the table, and her face quickly turned bitter.

She suddenly regretted agreeing.

Even with Mahiro's help, she doubted they could finish such large portions.

Mahiro, unfazed, noticed that Syr was hesitating.

He kindly pulled her by the arm and guided her to sit down.

"Miss, can you bring us two more sets of tableware, please?" Mahiro called out to a busy cat-eared waitress.

"Right away, nya!" Anya replied cheerfully.

Within half a minute, she returned with two sets of bowls and chopsticks, placing them neatly in front of Mahiro and Syr.

"Here you go, nya!" Anya said, her tone full of curiosity.

"This is the first time I've seen Syr holding a boy's hand, nya!"

"Anya, what are you talking about?!"

Syr blushed deeply and glared at the cat-eared girl.

"I'm not intruding, nya. Syr and her friend are on a holiday date, and since we're short-staffed tonight, we'll just be busy here." Anya covered her mouth as she giggled and cast playful glances between the two.

"Anya!"

Syr puffed up her cheeks in frustration and glared at her.

"Oops, Syr is mad! I'd better get back to work!"

Anya quickly waved her hand and darted off.

Before leaving, she turned back and teased, "Syr is the most popular here!"

"Adventurers line up to ask her out, but it looks like you managed to win her over first, nya."

"I'm rooting for you!!"

After delivering her parting words, Anya ran off before Syr could protest.

"Don't mind her," Syr said, her cheeks still flushed.

She avoided Mahiro's gaze, clearly embarrassed. "Anya just likes to joke around."

"She seems like an interesting person," Mahiro replied with a smile.

"You two seem close."

"Yes, Anya is the liveliest person in the tavern," Syr said with a nod, glancing toward Anya, who was busy serving other customers.
