As my body trembled, the men who bumped shoulders with me glanced my way and began talking loudly, making sure I could hear them.

“He’s the one who bumped into us, so why is he acting like he’s hurt?”

“A lowly commoner, probably trying to take advantage of this to get some money.”

Fortunately, it seemed they hadn’t noticed my stifled laughter. From what they said, they seemed to think I was pretending to be in pain. Struggling to suppress a smirk, I looked at the men who had bumped into my shoulder.

“If you bump into someone, you apologize. Don’t just stand there gawking.”

Were they so brazen because they thought they could overpower me, or did they believe that good-for-nothing noble would protect them?

“What are you waiting for?”

I was contemplating how to deal with them, but the situation resolved itself before I had to make a decision. Clara, who had been walking ahead of me, returned.

“L-Lady Clara?”

Even though they were from the Kingdom of Archen Arshen and Clara was from the Empire, they recognized her immediately.

Well, Clara had awakened her mana at birth and was the sole disciple of the Tower Master, so it would be strange for them not to recognize her.

“I am Albham Ricotta of the Viscount Ricotta family from the Kingdom of Archen.”

“I am Sez Baraham of the Viscount Baraham family from the same kingdom.”

Though momentarily taken aback by Clara’s presence, the men quickly introduced themselves, confirming they were indeed from the Kingdom of Archen, as I’d suspected.

“What are you waiting for?”

Clara completely ignored the men’s introductions, as if they were invisible.

“I was admiring Clara’s beauty when I bumped into these gentlemen.”

“Is that so?”

Clara finally looked at the men who had bumped into me. They seemed relieved at first, thinking she acknowledged them, but their expressions quickly changed.

“What are you doing? If you bumped into someone, you should apologize.”

“Excuse me? Lady Clara, I think there’s been a misunderstanding. He bumped into us, not the other way around.”

Clara ignored the man’s words and looked at me instead.

“Did you bump into them?”

“I might have been distracted looking at Clara, but I didn’t bump into them.”

“Really? Then it must have been you guys. Apologize quickly.”

Clara accepted my words without questioning. The men, who had tried to argue, were left speechless by Clara’s unwavering support for me.

“I have to go. Just apologize.”

Clara’s words, spoken with a frown, silenced the two men.

“What’s going on here?”

“Isn’t that Lady Clara?”

Students passing by in the hallway stopped to watch, drawn by Clara’s presence.

The men, realizing the situation was not in their favor, finally caved.

“We’re sorry.”

The apology, forced and insincere, was accompanied by a scowl.

“It’s alright. People make mistakes. Just try to be more careful next time.”

The men’s expressions soured even more at my words. I was ready to let it go at that, but Clara apparently was not.

“You should bow your heads when you apologize.”

“But…”

The men looked at Clara, clearly reluctant to bow to a commoner like me. However, they quickly averted their gazes under her icy stare.

“We apologize,” they muttered, bowing their heads. Then, their faces flushed with shame, they hurried away.

“What are you doing, aren’t you coming?”

Clara called out to me as I stood in a daze. Regaining my composure, I responded seriously.

“Clara.”

“What.”

“Can I call you ‘Noona’ from now on?”

Hearing my words, Clara looked at me with disdain before turning and walking towards our classroom.

“Wait for me!”

.

.

.

Clara and I arrived at our afternoon class.

A few other special class students were already present. I greeted them briefly before taking a seat next to Clara, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Had it been anyone else, Clara would have undoubtedly told them to move, but seeing it was me, she remained silent.

Students from other classes peeked in curiously, drawn by the aura of exclusivity surrounding the special class, but none dared to approach.

“Clara.”

“……………”

She ignored me, having learned to anticipate my frivolous remarks from the tone of my voice.

“Clara.”

“…………..”

“Clara.”

“…………..”

When my attempts to get her attention failed, I decided to take a more… direct approach. I leaned closer and whispered in her ear.

“Clara-noona.”

“You!”

She gasped, about to unleash her fury, but before she could utter a word…

“Good afternoon, everyone!”

The professor entered the classroom, her booming voice silencing all other conversations.

The professor who entered was a petite woman with a charming, almost childlike appearance. If not for her reputation, no one would have guessed she was a professor.

The youngest daughter of a Marquis, the youngest S-rank adventurer, and the youngest professor at the academy — each of these impressive achievements described her.

Professor Idra, better known as the “Crazy Professor” in Croaka. She stood at the podium, greeting her students with a bright smile.

“Hello, everyone! I’m Idra, and I’ll be your professor for this course. You can call me Professor Idra!”

Students unfamiliar with Professor Idra were charmed by her youthful appearance, while those who knew of her accomplishments were amazed that someone so young could possess such impressive credentials.

And I, armed with the knowledge I’d gained from Croaka, braced myself for what was to come.

“Oh? Look who it is! The student who abandoned me for the Commander, Loki!”

“Professor Idra, you wound me! The amount Professor Elysia offered was simply… too tempting to refuse.”

“Well, the Commander is known for her generosity.”

Professor Idra didn’t seem to hold any grudges.

“Alright, let’s begin, shall we?”

She placed something on the podium, her smile widening.

“How much do you know about magical artifacts?”

She began to explain. Magical artifacts were essentially human-made artifacts, inspired by the true artifacts found within dungeons. However, unlike artifacts, which could only be found in dungeons, magical artifacts could be created by skilled artisans.

“This item I’ve placed on the podium… is a magical artifact I created myself.”

Professor Idra possessed an extraordinary talent for crafting magical artifacts. The insane golem at the entrance ceremony was one of her creations.

“Some magic tools and artifacts… can enhance magical abilities. And today… you’ll get to experience that firsthand.”

After saying that, she glanced at her students, her eyes twinkling with mischief. I tried my best to avoid making eye contact, but my handsome face must have stood out.

“For the first demonstration, Loki, you’ll be perfect. And don’t worry, it’s not because I hold a grudge for taking the Commander’s money.”

She cast a spell. A splitting headache, so intense it felt like my skull was about to shatter, washed over me.

.

.

.

Idra watched Loki, who lay writhing on the floor, his face contorted in agony.

She had initially planned to inform her students about the spells she would be using during the demonstration. However, before class, Elysia had given her specific instructions.

“Give the special class students… a true test. Especially Loki. The more you push him… the stronger he’ll become.”

As Loki’s screams grew more desperate, Idra, who had been observing him with a mixture of concern and curiosity, suddenly felt a surge of excitement.

“Becoming an academy professor sure was the right choice.”

Idra murmured to herself quietly, ensuring no one heard her, and then looked at the other students’ reactions.

“Look at that! The so-called prodigy of the academy, writhing in pain like a common beggar!”

“““Hahahaha…”””

Seeing Loki in helpless agony, a student from the Kingdom of Archen seized the opportunity to mock him. Other Archen students joined in, laughing and hurling insults at Loki.

Idra found their behavior distasteful, but she held her tongue, a sly smile playing on her lips as she thought of what was to come.

“The spell I used causes a headache for the target. It isn’t particularly powerful on its own, but when used in conjunction with a magical artifact, it becomes quite threatening.”

She paused, letting her words hang in the air, before unleashing the same spell on all the students.

“AAAAARGH!”

The ordinary students screamed and thrashed, caught off guard by the sudden pain.

The Special Class students, however, were prepared. They used their abilities to shield themselves.

Idra, however, kept her eyes solely on Loki.

Clara, surrounded by a faint aura of mana, glanced down at him occasionally, a frown creasing her brow.

After a while, Idra stopped casting the spell.

Once the magic stopped, the students gasped for breath, relieved to be free of the agonizing pain. Except for Loki, who was still screaming, clutching his head.

“What’s wrong with that guy? Hahahaha!”

When the students saw Loki still suffering even after the spell had ceased, they laughed at him.

Idra walked over to Loki’s desk and knocked on it as if she were tapping a door.

“Loki, the spell is over. You can come out now.”

As soon as she spoke, Loki, who had been writhing in pain just a moment ago, vanished.

The students, stunned into silence, stared at the empty space where he’d been.

Then, a voice drifted up from beneath the desk.

“Haaaah… Is it over?”

Loki emerged, stretching and yawning, as if he’d just woken up from a nap.
