Mercenary King: Got Question? Ask My RPG!

Chapter 28: Chapter 23 Offensive Team_1

Is it really that bad to not know how to drive?

Gao Guang couldn't drive, his parents couldn't drive, they didn't have a car at home, and given their economic status, it wouldn't be possible for them to get one anytime soon. So wasn't it normal for him not to know how to drive?

But looking at Frank and the others, you'd think not knowing how to drive was as bad as not knowing how to walk.

Rubber was driving with Gao Guang sitting in the passenger seat. They were far on their way, yet the topic still lingered on him not knowing how to drive.

Eventually, Frank and the others shut up because they were getting close to Juan's house.

The car slowed down as it passed by a snowy-white house.

The black iron gate, the black iron railings, nearly three-meter-high fences covered with some vines, blooming with flowers.

The lights in the yard weren't very bright. The house was lit, and in the yard there were a few cars parked. There was a long line of cars parked along the narrow driveway, occupying half of it.

"There are a total of twelve cars parked outside; there must be quite a few people inside."

"The fence is three meters high and it's all railings, not easy to break through with explosives."

"There are cameras on the gate, the iron gate is automatically controlled, his security system is very advanced."

The car kept a steady speed, took a good look at the situation, and then Frank and the others began their discussion. After a brief consultation, Frank concluded, "This is going to be tough."

After leaving Juan's house a kilometer or two behind, Rubber pulled the car over to the side of the road, turned off the headlights, and whispered, "We're not clear on the internal structure of the house or the defensive layout inside. Going in directly like this basically means a death sentence."

John liked to contradict Rubber, but this time he too was silent. It was only after a moment that he said, "Yes, a direct assault is too dangerous. Let's use rocket launchers. The drug traffickers in Tijuana like to use guns in a firefight; they rarely use rocket launchers."

Gao Guang didn't have much to say. As a complete rookie, although he had some quick wits, he didn't have any say in this kind of battlefield estimation that required a wealth of experience.

The final decision was in Frank's hands. After pondering for a moment, he finally nodded, "A direct assault is very dangerous. Use the rocket launchers, check the situation after firing, if there's a chance then quickly move in, if not, withdraw immediately."

Gao Guang couldn't help asking, "Do we have rocket launchers? How many?"

"Four, do you know how to use them?"

Gao Guang was shocked. As a complete rookie, not only was he expected to join the action on his first operation, but he also had to fire a rocket launcher during live combat?

Frank was still waiting for Gao Guang's answer, urgently asking, "Do you know how to use them? You can use guns, so rocket launchers shouldn't be a problem, right?"

"What kind of rocket launcher?"

"The M72, there are two types of rockets, the M72E9 is an armor-piercing blast warhead, and the M72E10 is a delayed-action high-explosive warhead after penetration. Do you get what I mean?"

Gao Guang subconsciously nodded, then Frank immediately said, "Ha, I knew he'd understand. You can operate a rocket launcher but can't drive; kid, are you sure you grew up in Huaxia and not Afghanistan?"

Gao Guang was a bit nervous, and he spoke in a low voice, "But I've never used one before. Let me think, let me think... There are few tutorial videos on rocket launchers, and I haven't watched many, but I know what I should do, uh, I've used a rocket launcher in Call of Duty."

Frank was amazed, "What? You've used one?"

Immediately, John said, "It's a game, man. Okay, since he knows how to use it, let's get started. How do we do it!"

"First, fire two E10s into it, then assess the situation. Wherever there's strong resistance, hit them with two E9s. Boys, this is a small scene, let's show these drug traffickers what real warfare is like."

At this point, Gao Guang couldn't help but say, "Are we really going for a direct assault? Isn't that a bit rash?"

"We're the most professional offensive team, kid. This is what we excel at," Frank said high-spiritedly and then spoke solemnly, "Prepare for action, Rubber and Kung Fu kid gear up, I'll call Joey."

Gao Guang and Rubber got out of the car, then Rubber helped him put on a bulletproof vest again. This time, Rubber assisted him in wearing a tactical vest.

"Can you use night vision? Have you ever?"

"Not really, never used it."

Rubber switched on the night vision goggles mounted on the helmet, placed them straight onto Gao Guang's head, and whispered, "If you feel dizzy and can't walk, don't use it, got it? Do you know how to use the radio?"

"No..."

"What do you know how to do?"

"Big brother, I'm a newbie!"

Rubber, helpless, just waved his hand. Then he knelt on one knee and tightened a thigh holster on Gao Guang. Rising to his feet, he patted Gao Guang's helmet and, gripping Gao Guang's collar, whispered, "The radio is voice-activated; just speak and listen, that's all. Put your pistol in the thigh holster, it's quicker to draw. Let's go."

Even if one had to learn combat in battle, this was a bit too rushed.

Rubber picked up two bags, opened the car door, and threw them onto John's legs before returning to the driver's seat.

Now fully armed, Gao Guang had an HK416 in hand, a Glock 19 strapped to his thigh, four spare magazines on his combat vest, and three grenades. Sitting back in the passenger seat, he felt so encumbered it was as though there wasn't enough space.

"All right, we'll drive up close to the house and stop. After the drug dealers inside are lured away by Peter, we'll wait ten minutes and then move in."

Rubber once again drove closer to Juan's house, now able to see the surrounding activity.

Frank took out his phone, his expression serious, "When we attack later, Bottle Cap and I will fire two rocket launchers first, then we will make a strong entry. Rubber, you hang back a bit before entering. Kung Fu kid, follow Rubber's commands."

"Yes, understood."

Frank made a call, then said softly, "Go."

It was just one word, but now it was all up to George. So, all they had to do here was wait.

About ten minutes later, there was movement inside the house; lights in the yard came on, and a stream of people poured out the gate. Vehicles parked by the roadside revved up and the convoy roared away.

"Phew, they're gone..."

After Frank spoke, he glanced at his watch and whispered, "Wait ten more minutes. Kung Fu kid, watch."

Gao Guang turned to look and saw Frank pulling an M72 rocket launcher from transport to firing mode within the vehicle.

"Press here to launch. There's a minimum range of ten meters; got it?"

"Got it."

On-the-job training was simple and direct. Frank immediately handed him a launcher, saying, "If I tell you to shoot, just aim roughly. It's very simple."

Gao Guang took the rocket launcher and then felt the ten minutes he waited were even longer than the previous ten.

Finally, Frank whispered, "Rubber, go."

Rubber started the car without turning on the headlights, using just the street lamps for illumination. He didn't go very fast, and when he stopped, he did so very smoothly, without any screeching.

The car came to a halt, and John and Frank, one on each side, alighted. With one brandishing a gun and the other a rocket launcher, they began to run toward Juan's house.

Passing through the gate, they halted beside the fence where John, shouldering the rocket launcher, aimed at the house and fired. The rocket sailed through the gaps in the fence, struck the wall of the house, and, after a brief moment, detonated thunderously inside.

These people were clearly an offensive team, and when they were ready to fight, they didn't even signal their attack.
