Chapter 18: Chapter 18 gossiping

"I'll walk you to your class," Ace offered.

Aria nodded, and they walked hand in hand. People passing by stared, some even turning around for a second glance. Aria's classmates gawked, eyes wide with surprise.

"People are staring," Aria whispered.

"Ignore them," Ace replied. "Some people love staring and gossiping. No matter what trouble you face, know that I have eyes only for you."

Aria nodded, not responding. As they reached her classroom, Ace let go of her hand and said, "I'll see you after school."

"Okay," Aria nodded and walked into the classroom.

Meanwhile, Diana was being filled in by her friends about the latest development. Her face turned red with rage.

"What are you going to do now? Are you going to let her snatch your man just like that?" one of her friends asked.

Diana's eyes narrowed. "It seems the last time didn't do any good. Maybe I should take a bigger step now."

As Aria entered the classroom, she heard girls hissing and sneering at her. Helena called out, "Aria, Aria, come here! Come and tell me the gossip. You know it's nice to hear it from the person involved rather than an outsider."

Helena smiled slyly, and Aria walked over to her.

"Helena, you really love gossip, but you're the mastermind behind it, aren't you?" Aria teased.

Helena puffed out her chest and raised an eyebrow. "Hm, you're right, 100%. Helena, the mastermind."

Aria shook her head, laughing. "Okay, let me tell you. I'm so thrilled."

The students in the class were baffled, some girls' mouths twitching with curiosity.

"We both confessed our feelings to each other," Aria said, lowering her voice.

Helena screamed, "Oh my!!!!!!" The sound echoed through the classroom, drawing everyone's attention.

"Helen, what's wrong? Must you scream?" Aria asked, though she couldn't help but smile.

Helena's eyes sparkled. "Yes, he knelt on one knee and said, 'Aria, will you like to be...'" Aria's voice trailed off, excitement overwhelming her.

At last, she managed to tell Helena the rest of the story.

"Oh god, what a confession! Ace seems cold on the outside, but he's different on the inside. He's so romantic!" Helena gushed, her mouth still agape.

As the class began, the girls who envied Aria started whispering among themselves.

"Can you believe Aria snagged Ace? She's so lucky," one girl said.

"I know, right? I've had a crush on him for ages," another girl replied.

Meanwhile, Aria couldn't help but feel happy, knowing she had Ace's attention.

As the day went on, Aria and Ace exchanged sweet texts.

"Hey, beautiful. Missing you already," Ace texted.

Aria's heart skipped a beat. "Aww, missing you too."

Their conversation continued, filled with flirtatious banter and sweet nothings.

As the school day came to a close, Aria couldn't wait to see Ace again.

"Hey, Ace. Waiting for you outside," Aria texted.

"My princess is waiting for me. I'll be right there," Ace replied.

Aria's heart fluttered at the term "my princess." She couldn't help but feel like she was on cloud nine.
