Chapter 108: Chapter 106: Successfully Capturing the Two-Tails!
Chapter 106: Successfully Capturing the Two-Tails!
Uchiha Yi's words made Obito clench his teeth in frustration. He wanted nothing more than to smack some sense into him.
How could this possibly be considered "help"? If anything, Yi's antics were painting a giant target on Obito's back!
This was all because of that one prank he had pulled on Yi years ago. It seemed Yi had been holding a grudge ever since.
If he could turn back time, Obito swore he would never provoke Yi again. But what was done was done, and he could only deal with the consequences now.
In the grand scheme of things, these minor issues didn't matter. From the moment the Akatsuki began capturing tailed beasts, they had positioned themselves against the entire shinobi world. Compared to that, Yi's antics were a small price to pay.
Taking a deep breath, Obito decided to let it go. "Minor annoyances can't distract from the bigger picture," he thought.
"Well done, Yi," Obito said, forcing himself to sound composed. "But next time, maybe skip impersonating me."
"Of course, of course. We're all brothers here. No need to be so formal," Yi replied, grinning mischievously. "Anyway, I'm off. Let me know if you need anything else!"
Before Obito could respond, Yi vanished in a flash of flames, leaving behind a faint trail of embers.
Obito sighed deeply. He needed to focus on the mission.

Ambush at the Land of Lightning
Meanwhile, Kakuzu and Hidan had reached the outskirts of Kumogakure in the Land of Lightning.
Their target: Yugito Nii, the Two-Tails' jinchūriki.
Having monitored her movements for several days, they knew she was about to leave the village on a mission. The two Akatsuki members set up an ambush along her route.
As Yugito approached, she felt a chilling presence in the air. She stopped in her tracks, her senses heightened.
"Who's there?!" she demanded.
Kakuzu and Hidan stepped out from the shadows, their Akatsuki cloaks billowing ominously.
"We've been waiting for you, Two-Tails," Kakuzu said, his tone filled with irritation. "Do you have any idea how much money I've lost while waiting for you to show up?"
Yugito's eyes narrowed. "You're after Matatabi, aren't you? You won't succeed!"
"Feisty, aren't you?" Hidan chuckled. "Good. I'll enjoy making you scream before offering you to Jashin-sama."
Yugito didn't waste any more words. Channeling her chakra, she unleashed a burst of blue flames and began transforming into Matatabi, the Two-Tails.
---
A Fierce Battle
The massive blue cat-like beast roared as it completed its transformation. Without hesitation, it pounced toward the Akatsuki duo, its claws gleaming.
Hidan stepped forward with his scythe, swinging it toward Matatabi with reckless abandon. However, the force of the beast's claws sent him flying into a nearby tree.
"Idiot," Kakuzu muttered.
As Hidan scrambled to his feet, Kakuzu unleashed his Earth Release: Earth Spear technique, hardening his body to withstand Matatabi's blows. He countered with a powerful punch infused with black threads, landing a direct hit on Matatabi's side.
The beast staggered but quickly retaliated with a burst of flames.
"Fire won't work on me!" Kakuzu shouted, activating his Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work mask to counter the attack. A massive fireball erupted from his side, colliding with Matatabi's flames in a spectacular explosion.
The fight raged on, with Matatabi's speed and power keeping the Akatsuki members on their toes. However, the duo's teamwork began to wear the beast down.

Hidan's Deadly Ritual
Matatabi roared as it fired several small Tailed Beast Bombs, scattering destruction across the battlefield.
Kakuzu deftly dodged, using his masks to launch coordinated attacks that pinned Matatabi down. Amid the chaos, Hidan managed to get close enough to Matatabi's jinchūriki form to draw blood.
With a manic grin, he licked the blood off his scythe and began drawing his ritual circle on the ground.
"Time to die, little kitty!" Hidan cackled.
As soon as he completed the ritual, Hidan stabbed himself with his spear. Yugito, still partially transformed, screamed in pain as the curse transferred the damage to her.
The jinchūriki collapsed, reverting fully to her human form.
"Got her," Kakuzu said, wrapping Yugito in his black threads.
Hidan laughed triumphantly. "That's what happens when you mess with Jashin-sama's chosen!"
---
Mission Complete
With Yugito captured, the duo prepared to leave the area.
"Let's go before the Raikage finds out," Kakuzu said, hoisting Yugito onto his shoulder.
Hidan grumbled. "Tch, we should've killed her outright. This whole 'capture them alive' thing is so boring."
"Just shut up and move," Kakuzu snapped.
The two vanished into the forest, leaving behind a battlefield littered with destruction.
---
A Growing Threat
As news of Yugito's disappearance spread, tensions in the shinobi world continued to rise. With the Akatsuki now in possession of the Two-Tails, the Three-Tails, and several others, the balance of power was shifting dangerously.
Unbeknownst to the world, the Akatsuki's endgame was drawing closer with each successful capture.
But while most villages focused on their immediate losses, some began to suspect a larger conspiracy. The Raikage, in particular, vowed to uncover the identities of those responsible and exact swift retribution.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Yi watched from the shadows, amused by the chaos unfolding around him.
