Chapter 131: 131 The Greed Of Revolution Army
The sea was calm, and the ship sailed for several hours before finally reaching a small island.
"Admiral Sun Candle, please."
As the ship docked, a tall figure, covered in black robes, appeared on the shore as if by magic.
Connor was visibly relieved when he saw the visitor.
"Shichibukai Tyrant Bartholomew Kuma!"
The man was well disguised, but the Bible in his hand gave him away. Combined with his large, imposing figure, it was hard not to think of him.
Of course, Lynch recognized Kuma instantly.
Kuma was known for his ability to appear and disappear without a trace, and very few people had seen him.
So far, only Kizaru in the Marine had encountered him once.
If it were anyone else in the Marines, they likely wouldn't have recognized Kuma.
During this time, Kuma had been staying at the Revolutionary Army's base, not yet starting his undercover mission, so he wasn't worried about being spotted.
Kuma was a remarkable talent. His ability to develop the powers of the Meatball Fruit to such a degree was truly genius-level.
The Paw-paw Fruit allowed Kuma to develop a unique ability, one that could expel injuries and pain from the human body.
Occasionally, it even allowed him to act as a traveler.
Lynch's arrival seemed to have put a lot of pressure on the mastermind behind it all. They didn't hesitate to summon Kuma, just in case.
"Let's go. Don't waste any more time"
As for the person behind everything, Lynch had already made a pretty good guess.
The opponent first sent people to attack another Celestial Dragon and called in Kizaru for reinforcements.
When another Celestial Dragon was targeted, it was almost certain that Marine would send an Admiral, and Lynch was the fastest option.
The other two Admirals couldn't match Kizaru or Lynch's speed.
After going through many twists and turns, Lynch also wanted to see what the man behind the scenes was looking for.
Tyrant Kuma remained silent as usual, leading Lynch and Connor through the dense jungle, carrying the Celestial Dragon.
The thick trees blocked out the sunlight, and wild boars and leopards roamed in the distance. Animals and birds occasionally made sounds, adding to the jungle's noise.
As they went deeper, scattered figures appeared, all watching Lynch with caution.
"We're here. Go in." Kuma gestured toward a temporary tent.
Lynch walked in without hesitation. In the dim room, Monkey D. Dragon sat in a chair, his upper face hidden in shadow.
The sunlight and shadow split across his face, revealing the distinctive tattoo.
Behind Dragon stood two figures Lynch recognized.
Sabo and Koala.
Sabo, who is nearly 15 years old, and Koala, who is nearly 16 years old, met Admiral for the first time, and they were extremely nervous.
Sabo clenched his fists secretly, trying hard to stay calm. He couldn't afford to embarrass Dragon.
Koala nervously pinched the sapphire ring on her hand, a habit she had developed over the years.
Whenever she felt anxious, she would unconsciously touch the ring Nighthawk had given her.
As she looked at Lynch, who appeared young but confident, Koala found herself thinking that the legendary Admiral didn't seem as intimidating as she had imagined.
There was something familiar about him, as if she had seen him before.
"No, that can't be right. How could I have seen the Admiral before?" Koala shook her head, trying to clear her mind of the strange thought.
"Hello, you two," Lynch said with a smile, noticing Koala still wearing the ring he had given her when she was a child.
"It's not so hard to talk to the legendary Admiral," Lynch added with a calm tone.
"No, I can't be fooled by his appearance!" Koala thought to herself, though she couldn't shake the strange warmth she felt from him.
Sabo and Koala exchanged confused glances. *What's going on? Why do we feel this warmth from him?*
"Dragon, long time no see. You're really the one behind it all," Lynch said as he pulled out a chair and sat across from Dragon.
"Long time no see, Lynch. Or should I say... Admiral Sun Candle?" Dragon replied, his gaze on Lynch with a mix of complexity.
He recalled their first meeting. Back then, Lynch was just a captain, but there was something different about him—he was a Mythical beast.
From that moment, Dragon knew this man was destined for greatness.
What surprised Dragon even more was that Lynch had become the fourth Admiral in Marine in such a short time.
The speed of his promotion was truly remarkable, even for someone who had been in Marine like Dragon.
"You worked hard to bring me here. Now tell me, what's going on?" Lynch said, looking at Dragon.
As for the Celestial Dragons nearby, both of them silently agreed to ignore them, as if they were just irrelevant bystanders.
"You're a smart man, and I liked talking to smart people," Dragon said, waving for everyone to leave the tent.
Once they were alone, Dragon got straight to the point.
"To help the countries suffering around the world, the Revolutionary Army is severely short on supplies and money. You control one-seventh of the West Blue. I hope you can provide us with support. Here's a list of what we need."
Unlike Lynch, Dragon and the Revolutionary Army are constantly hunted by the World Government, forced to live in the shadows.
They have to aid the oppressed and start uprisings in various nations to bring about change.
Food, weapons, winter clothing, bandages, medicines, and other supplies all require a big amount of Berries.
Lynch, who just receive support from the Golden Emperor not long ago, back then his country also poor enough, right?
However, the revolutionaries are in an even tougher situation; their financial struggles are a hundred times worse than his.
They stand alone against the entire World Government.
"You've even prepared a list of supplies. Looks like you've got me," Lynch chuckled, picking up Dragon's list and read it.
[Bailey: Thirty billion.
AK47: Thirty thousand, maybe.
Vulcan cannon: Three hundred.
Mysterious battleships: Ten.
Bandages: One hundred boxes...]
The list stretched on, with hundreds of items scattered throughout.
"This is just the first batch of supplies. I believe the emperor can get it," Dragon's greedy voice triggered Lynch's irritation.
"It seems you've thoroughly investigated my empire."
The mention of the AK47 and Vulcan cannon especially bothered Lynch.
Anyone would be displeased to learn that their empire had been secretly investigated for an unknown amount of time.
Although he didn't hide the names of the equipment, he did conceal the name of the Pluton battleship.
After all, the name Pluton was too sensitive.
"Your Excellency Lynch, you flatter me. I hope you can gather this first batch of supplies quickly."
"Dragon, people must pay the price for their greed."
A flame suddenly sparked in Lynch's palm, burning the list of supplies to ash.
Lynch looked at Dragon, his laughter slowly turning cold.
"I've never been threatened by anyone. It seems you've miscalculated. At worst, we'll all be destroyed together!"
"I don't know what leverage you think you have on me, but I have something on you too. Don't make yourself regret this."
Sabo, standing outside the door, felt a chill in his heart as he heard Lynch's angry, restrained voice.
"Didn't Dragon-san say there wouldn't be any danger? Is there a fight?"
A confrontation between two Admirals would lead to disastrous consequences.
At least two third people on the island would die!
