Onepiece: I'm Gojo Satoru

Chapter 60: Chapter 56 Shanks Appearance

Satoru was confident that his men could handle the aftermath. The pirates had all lost the will to resist, and after witnessing his overwhelming strength, they wouldn't dare to challenge him. He had made his point clear, and now, with the battle concluded, it was time to address the spies who had been watching him earlier.

As soon as the battle had started, Satoru had noticed the presence of a group observing from afar, but he had been too occupied to deal with them then. Now that the fight was over, he figured it was time to see who had been keeping an eye on him.

With a single step, Satoru vanished from the skies above the Navy G8 base. The next moment, he appeared on the deck of a pirate ship—a massive dragon ship. As he landed, the air around him crackled with tension, and a series of intense gazes locked onto him. These were not the ordinary pirates he had fought earlier; these were a different breed altogether. If the previous foes had been lions and tigers, then the individuals now staring at him were akin to king-level Tyrannosaurus rex—beasts of immense power.

The pirate crew on deck froze. The oppressive aura Satoru exuded made them hesitate, but the moment they saw who stood on their ship, their confidence faltered, and the tension in the air immediately lifted.

"You're really elusive every time, Satoru."

A red-haired man with three scars across his face and missing his left arm spoke with a grin. His eyes twinkled with recognition. It was none other than Shanks, the captain of the Red-Haired Pirates.

"You dare to appear in the waters under my jurisdiction, Shanks?" Satoru replied, his voice light and teasing. "Don't you think that's a bit disrespectful?"

Shanks chuckled, his gaze scanning the familiar figure. Satoru was the same as always—imposing, confident, and unbothered by the threat the Red-Haired Pirates might represent.

Satoru glanced around, noting both old faces and unfamiliar ones. These were not the same pirates he remembered. Time had clearly treated them well. They were stronger now, more seasoned. Their bodies radiated a power born of countless battles and near-death experiences. It was clear that, just as he had been training relentlessly, these pirates had not been idle in their pursuits either.

"Hahaha, we're not enemies, Satoru," Shanks said with a hearty laugh. "But I think even your commander would turn a blind eye to my arrival this time."

Shanks disappeared in an instant, appearing next to Satoru and placing a friendly hand on his shoulder. Satoru didn't resist. He knew Shanks wasn't an enemy, and their bond went deeper than mere words.

"I watched your battle earlier," Shanks continued. "It was truly spectacular. At this point, I'd say even I wouldn't be your match."

"Don't lie," Satoru laughed. He wasn't foolish enough to believe every word. While he had indeed grown in strength, he knew his own limits. He still had room to improve before he could call himself truly invincible.

At the very least, he wasn't fully in control of his Infinite Limit Warlock techniques. Once he mastered that, along with his reversal techniques, then he might be able to challenge someone like Shanks head-on. But for now, the red-haired pirate was still a formidable opponent.

"What brings you to these waters, Shanks?" Satoru asked, his expression turning serious. "Although we're friends, I'm still a Navy officer, and I need to know your business here."

Shanks' demeanor shifted instantly. He straightened up, and his battle spirit flared. "I'm here to take revenge on Kaido," he declared, his voice filled with resolve.

Satoru blinked in surprise. The battle between Shanks and Kaido was legendary, and he hadn't expected Shanks to admit his defeat so easily.

"Kaido, huh? I didn't think you'd be the one to lose," Satoru remarked. "I thought it would be a more even fight."

Shanks' face darkened slightly. "Kaido is very strong. But now... now, I've gotten stronger too."

Satoru studied Shanks for a moment, sensing the palpable shift in the pirate's strength. Shanks had been through intense battles and had become a force to be reckoned with. This wasn't the same man he had known in the past.

"And now, I'm ready to face him again," Shanks continued, his tone unwavering. "I've trained, I've fought, and now I'll reclaim my honor."

Satoru chuckled, a grin crossing his face. "Then I look forward to hearing about your success. But don't get too cocky, Shanks. I don't want to hear about you being buried by Kaido, your entire crew wiped out."

"Hahaha!" Shanks laughed heartily. "Those Hundred Beast Pirates? Wiping out my crew? That's a fantasy, Satoru. You know better than anyone."

Jesus Bu, now standing beside them, added with a confident grin, "We're stronger than ever. Kaido and his crew are nothing to us."

Satoru smiled, watching as the Red-Haired Pirates boldly expressed their confidence. He had no doubt that Shanks was ready for the upcoming battle, and it would surely be an exciting one.

"But even so, I'm curious—what makes you think you're ready to take on Kaido now?" Satoru asked, his curiosity piqued.

Shanks' eyes gleamed. "The loss to Kaido was a setback, yes. But we've learned, we've grown. Now, it's time to prove that we can stand at the top of the New World."

Satoru's eyes narrowed, impressed by Shanks' resolve. "Well, then... I wish you the best of luck. Just don't get yourself killed."

Shanks grinned. "I'm not that easy to kill."

As they exchanged their last words, the crew of the Red-Haired Pirates brimming with confidence, Satoru couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement. These were the types of rivals he enjoyed—strong, bold, and never backing down.

"Well, I'll leave you to your business, Shanks," Satoru said with a wave. "Don't disappoint me."

With that, he turned and vanished from the ship, leaving Shanks and his crew to prepare for their upcoming challenge. The sea was full of battles yet to be fought, and Satoru was ready for whatever came next.
