Starsea Fleet: Age of the Lord

Chapter 158: Chapter 158: One Year Later

September 4, Federation Calendar 7496.

It had been a full year since the Hurricane accompanied the Yunshan Fleet in their campaign against the interstellar insectoids. The Storm Fleet's mission to guard the Z043 planet was now complete, and they could return at any time.

During this year, the insectoids had launched only minor skirmishes without any large-scale invasions. The second defensive line held firm, and the number of broodships encountered had dropped significantly—from thousands at the start to just a few dozen now. The situation didn't require extensive fleet deployments, allowing Feng Mo a relatively peaceful year, though he was eager to return home.

All of Feng Mo's temporary assignments, received when he first arrived with the Storm Fleet to guard the Z043 system, had been completed. He earned 4,000 points and two design schematics, bringing his total points to 11,660—enough to exchange for a T5-class starship blueprint.

The two design schematics he received were for the T4 Mule-class Interstellar Transport Ship and the T5 Enslavement Chip, described as follows:

T4 Mule-class Interstellar Transport Ship

Armor Strength: 400 units

Ship Dimensions: 8 km x 2 km x 1.6 km

Speed: 200-star knots

Warp Drive: Level 4

Star Shield Energy: Level 4, 100%

Weaponry: 220 T4 rapid-fire point-defense laser cannons

The Mule was a straightforward, large-capacity transport ship designed for bulk carriage. Feng Mo gave it a brief scan, then forwarded the plans to Alisa with instructions to begin production on twenty units.

Alisa's response was as cute as ever: a selfie with her cheeks puffed from sneaking snacks, looking adorably resigned. Over the past year, while Feng Mo had been stationed at the Z043 system, Alisa had relished her freedom, indulging in snacks to the point that her face had become a bit rounder.

Ignoring her playful complaints, Feng Mo turned his attention to the T5 Enslavement Chip design schematic.

This was a precision device. Each T5 Enslavement Chip was only about a centimeter in size but required a significant amount of materials to produce. This advanced chip could even alter the minds and perceptions of those it enslaved.

Now that the Beast's Roar Star System's biological research lab was fully operational and stocked with a team of scientists—loyal citizens of Feng Mo's territory—it was secure against information leaks. Even if spies were present, they couldn't transmit data outside the star system.

Feng Mo didn't plan on letting these scientists leave the Beast's Roar Star System anyway. As long as they focused on research, he'd bring anyone they wanted to see.

This T5 Enslavement Chip would be the first project for the newly formed Bio Research Division. Feng Mo sent the design schematics to Hua Qin, instructing her to urge the team to begin work on the project and to procure any missing materials as needed.

After dealing with the rewards from his assignments, Feng Mo headed to the Z043 starport and boarded the main control room of the Hurricane.

"Storm Fleet, begin return journey. Engage Level 3 synchronized warp travel to the Hurricane Star System's primary planet. All Level 1 genetic warriors, please enter deep-sea mode."

Han Peipei's voice echoed throughout the fleet, while Feng Mo's mind was on the Spark System's exchange store. After seeing the Federation's T5-class Annihilation Ship, he couldn't get it out of his mind, but seeing the point requirements for a T5-class Annihilation Ship had left him in shock.

Redeeming a T5-class starship typically required 10,000 points, but an Annihilation Ship or a Titan-class starship needed 20,000 points, and a battle star required a staggering 30,000 points.

Feng Mo didn't have that many points. The high cost was due to the exceptional weaponry these ships had, like the Annihilation Ship's cluster annihilation cannon and neutron laser main cannon.

Realizing he couldn't afford an Annihilation Ship at the moment and still needed a T5-class flagship for his nation's founding, he chose to redeem a T5 Orca-class Interstellar Carrier as a temporary flagship. Once his kingdom was established and the mission completed, his reward would be the blueprint for a second T5 flagship, the Feng Shen.

With two T5 flagships, the Storm Fleet's power would be significantly enhanced.

Feng Mo decided that once he accumulated enough points, he'd exchange for an Annihilation Ship on his second visit to the Spark System. But for now, he spent 10,000 points to get the T5 Orca-class Interstellar Carrier blueprint.

The Orca's most distinctive feature was its black-and-white appearance, with drones alternating in color between black and white. Besides drones, it was equipped with manned fighter jets, making it extremely powerful. However, the downside was the potential cost in personnel if the fighter jets suffered heavy losses.

T5 Orca-class Interstellar Carrier

Armor Strength: 2,300 units

Ship Dimensions: 8 km x 1.6 km x 1.4 km

Speed: 450-star knots

Warp Drive: Level 5

Star Shield Energy: Level 5, 100%

Weapons: 600 T5 Orca-class battle drones, 300 T5 Orca-class bombers, 200 T5 Orca-class ship-breakers, 100 T5 Orca-class fighter jets, 200 rapid-fire point-defense cannons

This carrier replaced the typical drone fleet with manned starfighter jets, an addition requiring human pilots but providing a significant combat advantage.

After redeeming the carrier's blueprint, Feng Mo spent his journey home studying the design, which took considerable time given the increased complexity of T5 blueprints compared to T4.

Once they landed on the Hurricane's home planet, Feng Mo stepped off the ship holding Ai Er's hand, and they returned to their base. Kailan had been waiting in her room for quite some time, eager to see Feng Mo after an entire year apart.

She had prepared her room early, setting it up with a warm, tidy atmosphere and arranging her favorite little trinkets by the bedside. She also made sure to have oil ready—essential in her mind, though, with reproductive barriers in place, neither she nor Ai Er could easily conceive, much to their relief. Both actually hoped for the possibility.

Once everything was ready, Kailan stepped into the bathroom for a careful bath and changed into an elegant elven queen outfit, giving her a look of grace, nobility, and purity.

When Feng Mo opened the door, he found himself greeted by this enchanting elven queen, gazing at him with love in her

eyes. How could anyone resist that?
