Eun Chen slowly opened her eyes to an unfamiliar room, her eyes darted around as she quickly sat up, where was this place, what happened, her thoughts were cut off when the door forcefully opened, startling Eun Chen on instinct she turned her face away covering it with her hair, "oohhh....., you are awake", said Maidservant Park as she entered into the room, " why ....., how did I get here", she asked still making sure her hair was covering her face out of Maidservant park sight, " master Lee brought you here, you were unconscious, but with the looks of it, you look well", said Maidservant park straining to see her face, but Eun Chen kept deviating from her gaze, " since you are already conscious Master Lee wants to see you and.....", Maidservant park walked to Eun Chen, bent down and putting both her hands on Eun Chen cheeks, and faced her to her eye line, surpring Eun Chen, " when someone is talking to you don't look away, and I am much older than you, so the use of honorifics will be mandatory do you understand", said Maidservant park in a low but commanding voice, Eun Chen was startled, all her life she had never used honorifics for anyone, but if eyes could kill, she will probably be dead right now in this womans hand, " yes......, she looked up and saw Maidservant Park eyes peering into hers, " yes......ma'am", said Eun Chen.

Maidservant park smiled and let her go, dropping some clothes beside her," take a bath first before seeing Master, you reek of fish, said Maidservant park before she left, after she left Eun Chen stood up looking at the room, then she smirked, she was inside the palace now, it will be easier to get her revenge

The Queen sat up waiting for someone, one of her guards spoke from the outside, "the royal chancellor is here", " let him in", said the Queen in a commanding tone, the guard opened the door for Han jum (the royal chancellor), Han jum walked in standing a distance from where the Queen was sitting, he bowed, "your Majesty, you called for me", said Han jum, his appearance of that of a fifty year old man but there was hardly any wrinkles, his eyes full of untold stories and his white hair indicating that of wisdom and the grace of old age, " you have heard about Eun Chen the female masked assasin", said the Queen, Han jum bent his head low, " I have heard she is in Gwengochan", , said the Queen.

Han jum nodded, the Queen furiously slapped on her table, Han jum wasn't startled by this, it was normal, " where did a Hiatus come from, I thought all the Hiatus were already wiped out", said the Queen fiercely, " I don't know how she survived, but I will find out and kill her myself", said Han jum assuringly bowing his head low, " right now, it isn't assurance I need, I need action, I don't want her to live another day fee, maybe there are other survivors", said the Queen looking over at Han jum, " she is the only survivor", said Han jum, the Queen looked at him curiously, Han jum bowed his head, " I am sure she was just a mistaken pass, don't worry your Majesty, I will take care of the problem", said Han jum bowing his head.

The guards opened the door for Eun Chen, giving her access to get in, the door closed behind her, Lee Kwon was not on his table, but she was welcomed by books, shelves, boards, complex maths problems solved on the board, several books opened at the same time, was he some kind of psychopathic bookworm, she heaved,"Master,.......", she called out, " Master,.......,", she called out again, all of a sudden , a person holding a book covering his face popped up in front of Eun Chen , making her to stagger backward, Lee Kwon removed his book from his face then he smiled, " looks like you got Maidservant park message", said Lee Kwon dropping his book back to the shelf, Eun Chen folded her arms, "i didn't want to come but I had so many questions for you", said Eun Chen, Lee Kwon smiled crossing his hands at his back then he came close to Eun Chen who looked at him quizzically, " I thought you don't tend to be curious when caught, ", said Lee kwon, Eun Chen pushed him away slightly just enough for him to get away from her, " if I don't know the problem, I won't know the solution ", said Eun Chen, so how did you know I was the masked assasin", she asked, Lee Kwon looked down at her chest, " those spiral marks", said Lee kwon, Eun Chen was confused as she opened her cloth slightly seeing the mark on her chest, glowing a faint white, Eun Chen curiously looked up at Lee Kwon, "ordinary people can't see it, only those of royal blood can see it", said Lee Kwon walking over to his shelf and picking up a book, "we can only remove the marks with a pyroliskis stone, which is in our relics room", said Lee Kwon looking over at Eun Chen, " you are lucky it isn't my brother that you met, you just blantly told me your real identity", said Lee Kwon curiously looking at the lady before him.

Eun Chen walked close to Lee Kwon ," you seemed harmless, and if worse came to worse I would have killed you", said Eun Chen, "tsk,......you really live up to your name", said Lee Kwon with a smile," all you need to do is to keep your cloak closed and preferably wear darker shades of colour", said Lee Kwon, " I won't be staying here for long, by night I wi....... ", " the guards will be on full alert today since the female assasin is in Gwengochan, the gates are locked, so till everything dies down, drop your stubbornness", said Lee Kwon, Eun Chen swept her hair backward in frustration, " how long will this last", asked Eun Chen hoping for an assuring answer, " as long as Eun Chen has not been caught, the doors will remain locked, only merchants bringing food from the south are allowed in and with thorough supervision", said Lee Kwon, " so you won't be getting out of here anytime soon!" , said Kwon, his eyes showed he was excited, " what am I to do if I am stick here",said Eun Chen furrowing her forehead in a frown, " just stay by my side and you will be out as soon as you had come", said Lee Kwon with a small smile on his face, Eun Chen looked at him curiously, " if they find out you are harboring an assasin, won't you get killed?", asked Eun Chen, Kwon bit his lower lip with one eyebrow raised, he took a step close to Eun Chen, " I am risking my whole life just for you, shouldn't you be thankful in one way or the other", said Kwon in a determined voice, there was silence before Eun Chen spoke, " I can't repay you with any other thing except sparing your life, which is very herd for me", said Eun Chen, " I know you thirst for the blood of men often but......", he cut short his words placing his one of his hand on Eun Chen shoulder with a twisted expression, " just pause on your cravings to kill for now, if you kill me, there will be no one to help you,.......so just be my maid till things get settled", he said with a flattened smile, Eun Chen glared at him, how she wished she had her powers right now, she will finally end this bastard, she nudged his hand off her shoulder, " like I said, the only reward I can give is sparing your life", said Eun Chen, Lee Kwon placed his hand on his chin, " seems tempting , but I will pass,........it is something else I want from you, but I won't tell you right away though", the audacity of this man, " then this all looks like some threat, blackmail,...", said Eun Chen, " if it is to keep you here long enough then yes, I am blackmailing you, so just a t on as my maid and I can get that mark off your chest", said Lee Kwon with an assuring smile, she wanted to gauge his eyes from it's sockets, but she held herself back, he was right, eventhough it looked like he was blackmailing her right now , she had to make use of the only resource she had, which was this man, he is the only royalty she knew here who was willing to help her despite knowing she was an assasin, she glared up at him, she had no other choice , she smiled all of a sudden and bowed her head, " Master what do you want me to do first, she said , Kwon smiled and nodded his head, if she wants to survive till she gets out of Gwengochan, she had to play his games, she knew she couldn't walk around the palace freely without him, and it will be harder for her to finish off the royals, she smiled to herself, she will do it she will serve this bastard.

Min yu walked into the throne room with his guards at the back of him, it was only the King that was seated, Min yu bowed his head to his father, " where is mother", he asked, " she is attending to something", said the King, " the masked assasin Eun Chen, has she been found", asked the King, Min yu folded his hand behind his back.

"No,...your Highness, but we have closed all of Gwengochans gate, so there is no way she could leave this place ", said Min yu assuringly, at that moment another person walked in, bowing to the King, " Seugh min, welcome my son", said the King, Seugh min smiled and turned to his brother, " nice to see you brother", said Seugh min, Min yu smiled and hugged his little brother, " nice to see you again brother", said Min yu with a smile.

Eun Chen served some food on a tray as she carried it carefully, from an assassin to a maid, how ironic, as she stood up and was about to go to Lee kwons chamber, Maidservant park came in and looked at the food on Eun Chen hand, " young master doesn't eat spicy food in the afternoon, he said spicy foods alter the brain functions especially in the afternoon ", said Maidservant park collecting the tray of food from Eun Chen, " in the afternoon, serve master Lee foods that are bland like dwaeji gukbap, okay!", said Maidservant park, Eun Chen bowed her head slightly, ", yes........ma'am", she said adding the "ma'am" reluctantly.

Court lady park smiled a little before she walked away, just wait and see, you will be the on who will bow your head for me to show you mercy", said Eun Chen before she heaved and went back to the kitchen

Eun Chen knocked on the door holding a tray of food, " Master , your food is ready, may I come in", asked Eun Chen, but there was no reply, " Master,.........may I come in ", she asked again but there was still no reply, there was a deep frown on her face, wasn't he in his room, at that moment a court lady passed by and saw the frustrated maid , the new maudseem to not know anything about her master, she thought as she walked up to Eun Chen, " excuse me,........you are new here right", asked the court lady.

Eun Chen assessed from her head to toe suspiciously before she nodded, " this is masters study time, it last till almost evening, he doesn't like disturbance when he is studying", said the court lady with a smile as she left, was he kidding with her right now, wasn't he the one that said she should stay by his side, she looked around at the faces of the workers, she felt threatened that at any moment someone will pop out and be like they recognized her, she knew she was exaggerating too much because no one had actually see her face, but what were the odds, she was the premises of the palace, she was at the center of a danger zone right now, she couldn't take risks.

Suddenly she heard a familiar voice, looked like it was coming from the hall way, she clenched the tray of food in her hand, suddenly she felt someone at the back of her, she quickly turned around and came face to face with the man that had put her in this situation, his eyes were cold, but fierce in battle, the man that almost killed her, Min yu!.
