Chapter 84: Final Epilogue [Elle’s Story] Completed
[Winter Fenrir Epilogue: 14]

(Elle’s Perspective)

“The World Conference has concluded.
I will return swiftly to the Kingdom of Fel Snow.
Bringing along many gifts received from the various countries.
It seems that the royals have been thoroughly captivated by Lord Fenrir and Lady Elle.
As expected. Thanks to everyone’s cooperation, the conference progressed smoothly and ideally.
Our gratitude for winter’s blessings, and soon, the true spring shall arrive.”

I saw this message from Michaela through the magic of the Fairy Kings.
A circle of white rose vines formed, with a thin layer of ice spread over it.
The letters appeared and then faded away like a dream.

“I’m so glad! Looks like Michaela was a huge success. It’s a relief that the Winter Princess has been acknowledged, and that the Green Kingdom has reflected on its actions.”
“Yes. This recognition has been shared globally. Elle’s safety has been secured, and that is something to be grateful for.”

Fenrir whispered in my ear, “Of course, I will protect you no matter what happens.”
It was so sneaky, making me shiver slightly as his laughter echoed in my ears, sending a flutter of excitement through me.

“When Michaela and Glea return, it’ll be time for the Cherry Blossom Festival.”
“Everything is ready! The cherry blossoms should last until their ship arrives. We’ve already prepared the stalls, and there’s sweet snowmelt sake. Chris is really excited about it.”
“I’m looking forward to it.”
“Me too!”

I stood up, letting the spring breeze wash over me.
It was warmer than just a few days ago.

I wonder, what will true spring feel like…?
When I asked that, Fenrir’s gaze became distant.

“The Spring Dragon’s magic lingers in the wind. After the sweet scent of peaches, the flowers bloom all at once. The entire area becomes full of life.”
“That sounds so important…!”
“Yes, this year for sure.”

Fenrir stroked the budding earth, then looked up at the sky, making a gesture of prayer.
I somehow mimicked him, and as I did, he smiled down at me, his sakura-colored hair gently blowing in the breeze.

“I prayed for the Spring Dragon’s blessing. That’s what I was thinking.”
“Yes… I’m not great at saying profound things, but I imagine it must be unbelievably tough in ways I can’t understand. Still, I’d like to pray sincerely, from the heart.”
“That’s enough. Michaela achieved success through negotiation. And with the Winter Beast Fenrir and both of us praying, it might just spark a bit of fortune for the world.”
“I like the way you think.”

I hope that’s true.
Fenrir and I intertwined our fingers like lovers, pouring gentle magic into the earth.
A silver shimmer rippled across the grasslands like waves.

Fenrir’s magic blesses the land in winter.

Though there’s not much we can do in spring, I hope our prayers will reach someone.
Perhaps even the Spring Princess who made a major decision just a few days ago—

“Ah!”

The sweet scent suddenly hit me.
I glanced at Fenrir, who was twitching his nose.

“It’s the scent of peaches. Faint, but it’s definitely the Spring Dragon’s magic. Spring is beginning to regain its strength.”
“D-Does that mean… the Spring Princess…?”
“Yes. She must have caused a shift. Though it’s still faint, the season will gradually settle into place. It’s common for new Spring Princesses to be like this. You, Elle, were exceptional to be able to bring about perfect winter so quickly.”
“That’s because you taught me so patiently, Fenrir.”

We gently leaned into each other.

In the middle of the grasslands, where the cherry trees stood, there was a patch of spring sunlight.
Warm and comfortable.

“I want to protect this kind of happiness.”
“For a long time.”
“Together.”
“I can’t wait for our winter wedding.”

Fenrir’s smile was as sweet as honey.
Ah, it’s so unfair… so unfair… I couldn’t take my eyes off his beauty, just staring blankly at him.
Before long, our cheeks touched.

My warm, blushing cheeks were the color of cherry blossoms.

Spring will come, followed by summer, then autumn, and eventually, winter.
I’m really looking forward to it.
May the future shine bright.

Fenrir’s silver ears and tail swayed as he ascended the mountaintop.
At the peak of the ice altar, Fenrir and his kin howled in unison.

“For the peace of the four seasons and a bright future…!”
